Daydreamer is finally here with the first chapter!

I'm really sorry that it took a little longer than planned. I often read through everything, as well as the previous one, to see if everything still makes sense.

You will certainly have noticed that everything will take a little longer. I like to go into the relationship, behavior and environment in more detail. I want to get it across to you as best I can, if it works at all... That means it will take a while for Sesshomaru to show up. But it gets even better when he does! Please bear with me!

In this chapter, I like Mei and Sota's relationship the most. She was also the most enjoyable part of my writing. I hope you like it, like me!

The individual clouds adorned the sky, which now and then covered the sun's rays. The loud chirping of the birds echoed through the forests, bathing themselves in the warmth that surrounded them. A few squirrels had made themselves comfortable in the trees and, like other animals, were looking curiously towards a clearing.

In the middle of an empty space stood a young woman, holding a wooden sword in her right hand. Her dark brown hair was tied in a loose bun. A loose white shirt swayed gently thanks to the wind, briefly flashing the black top she wore underneath. Instead of wearing tight leggings, she had chosen to wear sweatpants.

With every move she made, she softly hummed a tune to herself. She swung the sword with grace and a gentleness that was made for this music. This caused a few strands of her bun to come loose and stick to her face. Sweat had built up from the sun and her training.

"Beautiful. Your parents would be proud of you, if they could see you like that.", a voice interrupted her concentration, which made her look behind her in surprise.

"You must be exhausted. Knowing you, you would stay here until evening, if you could."

"Thank you. It means a lot to me to hear that from you, auntie.", she said quietly and accepted the water bottle with graduate.

"You know me too well. I want to perform the sword dance at the festival again this year. Sota also asked me to perform at his school."

"He looks up to you. You are like a sister to him and a daughter to me, Mei."

"Auntie..."

"I know you don't like to hear it. Kagome didn't make it easy for you, but that doesn't mean we don't love you."

Not knowing how to react to this, Mei smiled a little tensely at her aunt and tried to fish the strands out of her face. A gesture her relative knew only too well. To distract her niece, she saw various animals behind her.

"Why are you smiling at me like that? That's creepy."

"It's just the animals behind you. You attract them since you were a child. I can still remember you running through the meadows with foxes or butterflies flying around you when you made some flower crowns for the family."

"I can't explain it either. Nature attracts me. I feel comfortable here, like it's my second home.", Mei smiled softly and waved at the animals, which jumped happily at her.

A sad yet relieved expression spread across the face of the mother of two, more precisely, three children when she heard the words. Knowing that they considered their life together as home made her happy. If only her daughter weren't so stubborn about living with Mei. That would make things a lot easier for a lot of people.
