[REWRITING] Sense of Obsession

Chapter 1

"There is so much beauty in the force of a storm"

The hindrance of rain pattered and painted what used to be the home of a hero.
Although, now, such a thing was left to the forest trees and the greenest of grass.

But among the nature rested a man, who had lost his way while going to work. He had no signal on his phone and took shelter in the shack, he sighed yet his mind filled with the feeling of hope made the man believe he had a chance at getting a better signal.

So, he paced out of the shack, looking desperately among the brush. And although the rain made it difficult to climb, the man had managed his way on-top of the roof of the shack.

He stood, raising his phone up high, thinking for a moment that he may just get a signal.
But what he didn't know, was that it wasn't just rain in the clouds, but more.

Lighting and thunder crackled, capturing the eye of the man. He flinched, and almost slipped. He was fine in the end, but he now realized he should get off the roof.

Be that as it may, the sky had other plans.

CRACKK!

Lighting struck a nearby tree, causing it to catch fire despite the downpour.

The tree toppled over, crushing the somewhat stable structure the man was standing on.

The man shrieked, calling for help that wouldn't be coming for a while.

THUD

And down came the man with his faulty phone and his small minded delusions.

The man felt an selcouth embrace; somewhat cold yet comforting. Soft hair tangled with his, reminding him of his highschool sweetheart.

Abruptly though, these thoughts were interrupted as he heard an unpleasant voice.

It's breathing, heavy and sharp all around.

"Child, I see your worth, there's an emptiness within you. I can fix that, if you'll lend me your heart, I'll make you stronger then you ever were."

"All I need for you to do for this, is to.."

"KILL the gun devil."

The man recoiled, his eyes flickering open to see a small lava oozing monster, somewhat taking the appearance of a bird.
