History: Being a twin to Tyler Lockwood, Ruth was just as easy to anger thanks to the werewolf gene. Ruth had it hard growing up because she would take all the abuse from her dad instead of Tyler. She purposely took the blame to protect Tyler. When the sheriff, Liz Forbes, found out, she took Tyler and Ruth in and let them live with her and Caroline. Ruth was fearful, thinkung her dad would find her and kill her for leaving. Liz took her to a therapist. When Ruth was eleven, she accidentally killed someone trying to protect herself and triggered her curse. Mason Lockwood shows up and tells Liz what they are and Liz is hesitant at first but grows to be okay with the supernatural for when Caroline gets turned in the future.
