Hypocrites

In this day in age, promiscuity is applauded,
But a gay man being faithful to his lover is appalling?
You throw quotes at him from an ancient book you never read,
Because someone else planted hateful words inside your head.
But what about the "Love thy neighbor" part?
What about telling people to trust their own heart?
Our society would rather force people to fit in,
Than allow them to feel comfortable in their skin.
We send them to therapy so that they will comply.
We tell them to behave and they will until they die,
But that time comes much faster when your broken down.
He took his own life over the words that were spoken out,
By his family, his pastor, and everyone else;
The words that drove him to killing himself.
Realize that your judgement is also a sin,
And what makes yours any better than he his?
