With a sigh, Hyunjin set his ramyeon cup down and sat down on the wooden floorboards. By now it had become an unintentional habit to have ramyeon after dance practice. Even Hyunjin himself had no idea why; it kind of just happened. Remembering what happened in the group chat earlier, he grabbed his phone. Better dancer than me, huh? he thought, tapping on the youtube icon. Let's see... Lee Minho... Maniac cover...
The moment the video started playing, something immediately captured Hyunjin's eye. The boy was stunning, his facial features aligned perfectly. Hyunjin couldn't tear his gaze away, and the combination of Minho's sharp but fluid moves and his intent gaze didn't make it easier for him. He had to admit, Chan didn't lie. Minho was a brilliant dancer. Hyunjin noticed his dance style matched Stray Kids' concept amazingly well. He could be an idol, he thought, with those visuals.
When it came to the killing part, Minho executed it perfectly. And by perfectly he meant the facial expressions, the fluidity, the fast transitions. They were all there. His dance style was the perfect combination of rhythmic, smooth, and sharp, and Hyunjin loved it.
As the video ended, he was left in awe at the older's talent. This was probably the first cover that he had taken a genuine interest in. Even Hyunjin himself wasn't sure why it stood out so much. Maybe for the same reason that it blew up, he thought. It was enough to even have a lasting impact on him. Picking up his forgotten ramyeon cup, Hyunjin gulped the noodles down and laid back onto the sofa. As he drifted off to sleep, all thoughts slowly slipped out of his mind and were swallowed by the darkness.
