The pair strolled leisurely down the streets towards where Hyunjin knew the weekend markets would be set up. The midday sun shone brightly above them, creating a peaceful atmosphere as the two boys walked enveloped by a comfortable silence. Surprisingly, it didn't feel awkward for either of them, just enjoying each other's presence without feeling the need to strike up conversation.
Hyunjin's attention slowly drifted back to the older beside him. He wore a peaceful, endearing expression as the blond-haired glanced at his face, and it subconsciously brought a small smile to Hyunjin's own lips. He definitely made the right decision in choosing to spend time with Minho; the dancer was talented, funny and cute. Hyunjin had never been so drawn to someone before, but something about Lee Minho made him seem as though he had an extremely huge magnetic field, and Hyunjin couldn't help but be captivated.
Before he knew it, Hyunjin's smile grew much wider, and though it was hidden under the mask, Minho could practically feel the energy radiating off the taller.
"What's got you all smiley like that, huh?" Minho turned his head to look up at Hyunjin- oh boy did he look small from Hyunjin's viewpoint. There wasn't actually a huge height difference between the two, but the younger's lanky build made him seem far taller than he was, towering over Minho.
"Oh- nothing." Hyunjin caught himself. Shit, he'd spaced out again. He made a mental note to keep his composure in front of the elder- Minho couldn't catch him slipping up one more time. Luckily the elder seemed satisfied, humming softly to himself.
At this point, Hyunjin was practically playing a game of drop-as-many-hints-as-you-can-without-him-noticing-while-being-in-denial-yourself. (It wasn't hard, because Minho was oblivious as heck.)
"Look, isn't that the ice cream stall you were talking about?" Minho pointed excitedly in the direction of a pastel-themed storefront as they rounded a corner. The sight of Minho's delight brought a strange, warm sensation to Hyunjin's chest. Cute- wait, no.
"Yeah, you're right," Hyunjin nodded.
As they entered the ice cream shop, Hyunjin was sure his heart rate just increased by a ridiculous amount.

After a long debate on which ice cream flavour was superior, with Minho threatening to unfriend Hyunjin if he didn't like mint chocolate, they finally walked out of the shop fifteen minutes later with vanilla and matcha ice creams in Hyunjin's and Minho's grasps respectively.
"Boring," Minho drawled, rolling his eyes as he eyed the other's cone.
"Oh, look who's talking while theirs tastes like fucking grass. Like, what are you, a cow?" Hyunjin retorted, snickering.
"There's a difference between matcha and grass, if you were too dumb to notice. And I am not a cow, you asshole." Minho huffed, haughtily slurping at his dessert.
