To say Minho was nervous would be an understatement.
Standing, with his hands in the pockets of his trousers, in front of the studio's address on Saturday morning had really brought Minho to think about the reality of his situation. (Not to mention, his clothing choices have definitely seen an improvement after taking countless classes from is best friend.)
He had met Hyunjin in person before, so he had no idea why he was so restless today. It'll be fine, he repeated to himself. He vaguely remembered reading somewhere about having your thoughts become reality if you constantly believed in them. Everything will go well, and hopefully I don't embarrass myself again... ugh. Minho rid the thoughts about their last encounter out of his mind; he didn't need that kind of discouragement when he was about to meet his idol, or rather, his friend.
Crazy, huh? If Minho had told his self from six months ago that he would befriend his ultimate idol, there was no way he'd believe himself. He would've probably thought something along the lines of, "Aish, future me has really gone mad."
Yet here he stood, minutes, maybe even seconds away from meeting Hyunjin in person, properly, for the first time.
Only then, as he kicked at the several golden-red leaves on the ground- the first signs of autumn- in boredom, gaze drifting between either direction of the road on a lookout for a certain blonde-haired male, did it finally hit him. Only then did Minho come to think of how lucky he was, how oh so very lucky he was to really get to know his idol. He still wasn't sure why the other messaged him first, but he was forever going to be grateful that Hyunjin decided to send a simple 'hi' on that fateful day. Minho made a mental note to ask him about that later; he was sure it wasn't because of his dancing skills. He's definitely watched countless other dance covers, so why... why me?
He had been so wound up in his thoughts, so much that he hadn't realised he was spacing out, staring- but not really looking- in the general direction of some deciduous tree on the other side of the road, forgetting about the other who had yet to arrive. Minho had long stopped kicking the fallen leaves, which were currently being flattened by the soles of his shoes, and instead stood still with one hand clutching his shoulder bag. But his thoughts were abruptly cut off by the sound of a familiar voice;
"Minho-hyung?"
