Forest sits on his aunt's lap completely focused on explaining the plot of the cartoon movie playing on the television so Parker feels okay slipping out of the room to answer his phone.

"Excuse me, is there a room I can take a call in?"

"Yes, down the hall and first door on the right."

"Thank you."

Phone call

"Is everything ok? Are you two safe? What happened?"

"Our father came back. Forest doesn't know who he is just that a strange man and our mom were shouting and throwing things. He didn't hurt us I just grabbed our stuff and got us out of there."

Harry sighs in relief, "That's good. Are you staying with your aunt?"

Parker can't control the whimper that slips out, "She has cancer. Harry, what am I supposed to do?" He starts to ramble more and more out of control.

"Breathe for me Petal. You can't solve anything if you pass out and end up in a hospital room yourself."

They breathe together for a moment. "You with me?"

"Yes. I'm with you."

"Okay, now what have the doctors said?"

"It's stage four. It spread from her stomach to one of her lungs. They're talking about her having a lobectomy as soon as possible."

"Gabby is a fighter, Parker. You just focus on taking care of yourself and Forest. I'll be there as soon as possible, you don't have to handle everything on your own."

"No! Harry, you're working on the album."

"We were already planning to take November off. I promised to be the pillar holding you up when you didn't think you were strong enough. Let me help."
