POV: Ke'koa
Perfect, to have all the desirable elements.
Perfect, that's how the clan would describe me. The perfect soldier, the perfect soon-to-be daughter-in-law, the perfect daughter. Well, my father doesn't see the last one to be true. My father is a great warrior in the clan of Metkayina and after my mother died from the great war of the sky people, I was to be a great warrior as well.
I was in a training session when they came. In a hut, my father trained me himself to give me the best chance to be the perfect warrior for our tribe. Before me, stood my father, a large Navi with tattoos that symbolizes his warrior status. Tattoos represent the rank you have in the clan, me, I have tattoos like my father. He was pointing a spear at me with nothing to defend myself with but my own hands. My job was to get the spear from him and trust me that is hard. He always waited for me to strike first to teach that patience is the best advantage.
I lunged at him and he quickly moved from the force of my body. I fell on the dirt ground, he walked away with his back to me, a mistake. I used it and jumped at him spinning around his strong torso to make him fall to the ground. The clatter of the wooden spear sounded, me and my father looked at each other and then at the stick. I swiftly got up to grab at the spear when he stopped me with strong arm to the gut. We went into a sparing and after about five minutes he got me to the ground. He grabbed the spear spinning it around his body, not knowing what to do I crawled backward to the wall of the hut. Father walked forward still spinning the spear fast, He swung the spear at me with a slice to the cheek. I gasped then out of anger grabbed a hand full of dirt I threw it at him making him have to stop to wipe the dirt from his blue eyes. I grabbed at the spear twisting it out of his hand. I pointed it at him when he opened his eyes full of anger. I stepped out of my stance when I realized I cheated.
With great power in his deep voice, "Is this how you plan to fight? To fight with no honor?" Before he continued his scolding a young Navi warrior barged in panting.
"Great Warrior Pallaton, strangers are coming you must come." the young warrior said in hast.
He looked at me in distaste, "We will continue your punishment later, for now. Come" He grabbed the spear we were fighting with. I grabbed the my knife he put away for the session, I put in my holder at my chest and quickly caught up with him.
Strangers? I have not seen many outsiders come here. Normally they stay in their borders. The three of us ran from the hut down hill to were the ocean flowed. The sound of people speaking echoed as they came close. We all slowed down at the sight of many of our clan gathered around. As the clan members saw us they parted ways so that my father could greet them.
We came to the center of the event to see Navi of the forest. A family of them, speaking to the Tonowari and Ronal the leaders of out clan.
