Made this chapter longer since I was gone for a while
Also, small reminder that due to returning to the past, it means everything that happened after finding the druid in the previous chapters never happened so not everyone has the same knowledge which is why some parts may seem repititive

He could do it.
All he had to do was walk into the tent and say what he had to say. Nothing too hard. At least that's what he kept telling himself in his mind. After another minute of mental preparation, Aesop took a deep breath and with a large gesture pushed the tent's veil aside to enter.
"Aesop-!" exclaimed Jose with wide eyes, "Are you feeling better?"
"Yes... Sorry for causing trouble..."
"Don't worry about a trifle!" he added, patting him on the back in a friendly manner, "You're just in time, I was about to discuss our next move. We can't camp here forever so I thought I'd ask a friend of mine who lives not far from here for help..."
No-! He wasn't supposed to! Things would repeat themselves again otherwise...
"Commander, I have something to tell you first."
Aesop looked his superior straight in the eyes with a renewed determination that surprised Jose. At that moment, the older man realized that the one in front of him had outgrown the juvenile age by finally making his mark in this cruel world. He smiled faintly before settling into a chair and crossing his arms.
"I'm listening to you my boy."
The blond let out a sigh of relief and so he began to tell the brunet everything he had lived and gone through before his return to the past until now. Now he just had to hope that he wouldn't take him for a fool because of his fairy tale story.
"So that necklace the oracle gave you allowed you to go back in time when you were in a critical situation..." he summarized.
"That's right..."
Jose rubbed the back of his neck with confusion while trying to understand what he had just heard as best he could. Ah, this was too incredible to believe after all, the young knight thought.
"Excuse me, may I come in for a moment?" an outside voice then asked.
"Herwood?"
It was-!
"L-Let him in!"
"Are you sure...? Mhm, come in."
Aesop turned to see Eli's familiar figure, not without surprise when he discovered the owl from earlier resting on his shoulder with pride.
"You made a new friend?" laughed Jose.
"Oh um, it's a long story..." he replied a little embarrassed. "Ahem, well, the reason I'm here is to give my testimony."
"Do you remember the same thing Carl did?"
"Uh- No. Sorry to disappoint you. However, I was there at the time we met the druid and I can assure you that what he says is the truth."
Eli had a wide smile beaming brightly on his lips and Jose could not help but believe the information given by the two men.
"...I understand."
"Commander-!"
"But you forget that there is still a problem. As much as it pains me to learn that one of my best friends serves an evil entity," and he says this with the feeling of a lump forming in his throat, "What should we do? We don't know if we can trust those people you met in the forest either."
