"Come on, Subedar!"
"Damn it-"
The woman with a ponytail screamed at the top of her lungs from the entrance of the manor. The building was surrounded by a wide forest which served as a garden as well as the Behamfils' training grounds, safe to say that one was unadvised to go for a stroll there. After a few seconds, a man with quite a few scars on his arms appeared out of the greenery.
"Took you long enough!"
The woman laughed loudly as she gave him a strong slap in the back when he got closer. She was the third daughter of the Behamfil marquisate, who were famous for their hunting skills. Subedar and her were engaged though there was nothing like a tender romance between them. Their parents were friends and just thought it was the easiest thing to do to keep the pest away due to their thirst for status. The Behamfils were a great asset of the country's military while the Subedars often served as close guards for the royal family.
"By the way," she threw a towel at him before sitting down to wipe her sweat with her own towel, "I heard Eli was gonna enrol in the knights?"
"You're well informed." He sat down next to her and looked ahead of him. "Seemed like the castle is getting rather noisy."
"This guy really has it rough... You're gonna follow him?"
"I don't have much of a choice. The old man is gonna skin me alive if anything happens to his precious blue blooded prince. Ah, I'm also gonna borrow your name."
"Mine?"
"We're gonna use fake names to be safer, I can't really think of anything so might as well use yours."
Though that probably sounded like the dumbest idea ever to be unnoticed, the truth was that was how much the people at the court despised Eli, he wasn't even worth spending that much money to send assassins tracking him outside of the castle and as long as he stayed dead silent, everyone was happy.
"You're really..." She sketched a crooked smile before looking away a bit awkwardly. "Other than that, if you ever fall in love with someone you gotta tell me, right?"
"What's up with you all of a sudden?"
He threw her a disgusted look.
"Just tell me, okay-!? You know we don't have to get married together..."
"Are you gonna tell me that you like someone?"
"Huh, no-! Anyway, let's get back to training! You gotta get used to the woods if you're joining the knights!"
