August 28th

I always hated parties. My best friend, Madeleine literally forced me to go to them all the time. She always said that I was the one who gave in, but no. She never listened to what I wanted. I couldn't say no because she would get offended and of course, I didn't want that. So I just went along.

I was sitting on my chair at my desk, doing my makeup. "You can't fucking force me to go to that shitty party!" I said frustrated.

"You will go though. I know you!" She didn't know me.
Madeleine was searching for a dress in my closet. I stopped what I was doing and watched her through my mirror. She pulled out a matching silver, glittery top and skirt. She showed me the set with a smirk on her face. "You would look hot in this!"

I rolled my eyes and continued doing my makeup. "I know" She dropped the dress on my bed and sat next to it.

"So... you remember Harry, right?" She asked. I turned around with my chair to face her.

"Of course I remember him. He fucking broke your heart!" I pointed at her with my makeup brush. "Don't you dare get back together with him!" She grabbed it and pulled it away from my hand, rolling her eyes. "I'm serious! He's not good for you, for anyone." I turned back, towards my desk.

"He's different now. I mean, he actually looks really different. Did you see him nowadays?" She asked and handed back the brush. I turned around again, grabbed my brush and rolled my eyes at her.

"No, I haven't seen him since you two broke up. Thanks to God!" I stood up and went over to her. I crouched down in front of her and took her hands in mines. "I'll literally kill you if you get back together with him or even do something with him! Promise me you'll be good!" I held up my pinky finger.

"You're so dramatic!" She held up her finger too, intertwined it with mine and we kissed our hands during.

We always did pinky promises when we promised something to each other. If either of us broke one of the promises, we agreed to never speak to each other again. We took it really seriously. It may sound childish but it was our little thing.

"Care!" I hate that name. Cassie walked into my room in a towel.

"It's Lina! Cassie, I already told you a hundred times, don't call me Care ever again!" I said to her in a harsh tone.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever, Lina!" She walked over to my closet. "I just need that pink dress! You know, the one you wore to your birthday." She started throwing my clothes everywhere out of my closet. Madeleine just watched her with a confused expression. I jumped up from my chair and rushed over to Cassie.

"Stop messing up my room!" I grabbed my clothes out of her hands, put them on my bed. I pushed her aside and started searching for that pink dress. After a moment I found it. "There you go!" I threw it to her, walked back to my chair and sat down.

She looked at the dress, made sure that there was nothing wrong with it and then walked towards the door. "Thanks, Sissy!" She chirped and walked out.

She was like the prom queen in an American movie. She never disappointed anyone in her life. She was the perfect second child. Everyone wanted to be just like her. Except for me, because I knew what her life was really like.
