"Aaaand, done!" Ink smiled, brushing the last stroke of paint that finally concluded his painting.
Ironically, he was painting Error.
"Heh, this looks great!" Ink told himself proudly, his eyes still focused onto the large painting he made of Error. "Hmmhm, I wonder what he'd think if I showed this to him. Eh, he'd probably insult me again." Ink chuckled, placing his paintbrush back into his pocket.
He then studied the painting again. It was a beautiful image of Error crocheting a doll peacefully, like he always did in the AntiVoid. Just by looking, you could see that Ink really took his time to create it, even if it was just a single image.
The little details. The atmosphere. The color. The tone of the painting. The main image, the shapes, the contrast, the background. All of the elements that made the piece of art so fascinating to look at. It was all greatly evident.
But, because of this, Ink couldn't help but wonder.Why would he put so much effort into a painting of his enemy?
It puzzled him greatly as to why he even decided painting Error was a good idea to 'pass the time'. Or was it even mainly just to do that? Maybe he wanted more than just to fulfill his boredom.
Maybe.. he wanted an excuse to admire Error from afar.Staring at his art piece, he was unaware that his face grew a slight, multicolored blush, and that his right pupil suddenly changed from a blue circle, into a pink heart.
His smile turned from excited, into a somehow.. more gentle look. The kind of gentle that a loving mother would give to her precious child.He couldn't help but admire, not just his own painting, but Error himself. His demeanor, his attitude, his prideful personality. It was all so.. fascinating to him, for some odd reason.
Most of the time, after studying Error at first glace, everyone would either detest him, or be fearful of him, or both. However, it was typical due to his personality and actions. Even Ink had a strong hatred for him before because of how he always interfered with his duty, but then again, they were practically enemies. Right now, they were still enemies. Nothing changed that much, but Ink just couldn't help but feel.. weird.As if Ink wanted to know him more. It was like, the more Error pushed him away, the more he wanted to grow closer to him. He wanted to learn Error better, and spend as much time with him as possible.
He didn't really know why. This emotion was new to him.
But.. he found comfort and familiarity in this strange feeling.It felt as if something, a strong driving force, was telling him to befriend Error. And as far as he knew.. that's exactly what he was trying his best to do. He knew it sounded crazy. But the thing was;
Error was crazy.
Ink was crazy.
They were both crazy in their own, different ways.He didn't know how Error would react once he knew about this... but, in the end, it hardly mattered. He just wanted to be near Error. To hang out with him. To get to know him.
Maybe that was selfish of him, but.. it was true. Ink truly cared about him, and that was that.After he let his train of thought wash over him, he sighed softly, as the smile on his face didn't seem to falter even a bit. "Man, whaddya know... Haha, I don't even have a soul, yet I'm still like this for you? Jeez, Error, what'd you do to me?" He giggled to himself, lightly shaking his head, amused at what this feeling was.
"Hmm, but all he'll ever do is insult me! So this is what the creators meant when they said life was unfair.. Whoa, didn't know it'd hurt this much. Dang. I'd be dead if I actually had a soul!" He shook his head again, smiling slightly to himself, though, he knew the thought hurt him a little.
