Little Love Notes - Zoenette fanfic

Chapter 1 - Feelings

ZOE POV:

It had been a week or so since I met Marinette. I loved every part of her, her sky blue stare, her midnight dark blue hair and the way she always jumps at the opportunity to help anyone, she's one of most selfless people I've met and I didn't have a lot of friends back in New York. I was always the shy one and not a lot of people liked me. Meeting Marinette and her friends was refreshing, knowing there's people who care for me.

"Zoe?" I snap out of my thoughts and look up and notice Marinette looking at me with concern. "Oh, sorry! You just weren't answering." She grinned. Scratching the back of her neck.

"Sorry, I zoned out." I say, recollecting myself.

We were hanging out on Luka and Juleka's house boat for a rehearsal when Adrien showed up. He waved to everyone and to Marinette. I was confused why everyone looked at Marinette, I look at her and she looks like she's gone red in the face. Are they dating? I thought, my heart felt like it shattered in pieces. I only met Marinette like a week ago, what did I expect, a pretty girl like her would obviously have the boys falling for her and the Adrien Agreste, I can see why he would date her.

My face drops. Luka notices and walks over, places a hand on my shoulder and whispers into my ear.

"Come over here, let's chat." I look up at him and he gives me a slight smile. He looks over at Marinette. He knows doesn't he.

We sit down on a sofa away from the crowd. In awkward silence for a few minutes.

"Marinette is an amazing girl, isn't she?" He said breaking the silence.

"Is this weird, she would never like me. I just can't help but like her, she's always so sweet and she was the first person I met-." I was about to keep going to save myself from embarrassment but he stops me.

"It's not weird at all. I don't care, I think it's cute." He commented. "We dated for a while, but Adrien wasn't leaving her mind so I had to accept her wishes, so we obviously broke up." I look over to him, he looks really upset. Something felt off about that. Marinette wouldn't leave him for some guy, right?

Marinette walks over to us.

"May I?" She asked, motioning to the free spot next to me.

"Of course!" I practically jump up.

"You guys alright?" She questions our isolating from the group.

"Yep, just a bit tired." I felt bad lying, but I couldn't tell her the real reason was that I have a crush on her and Luka was helping me.

"I'll leave you guys to chat." Luka gets up. Giving me a reassuring smile before walking back over to the group, now it's just Marinette and I sitting together.

MARINETTES POV:

It's been a week since I met Zoe, something about her just gave me butterflies in my stomach. I always knew I was Bisexual, but I never thought I would develop a crush on a girl. I thought what I was doing was wrong. So like always I bottle up my feelings and just focus on Adrien. I noticed Zoe zoning out, she looks really pretty. Marinette keep it together! I thought, shaking those thoughts out of my head. I only ever told one person my sexuality, and that someone is Cat Noir.

We were on a rooftop, just finished patrol, the sun was setting, reflecting off of our suits. If I had to say, Cat Noir's face was as flawless as ever, he looks like he takes great care of his skin. We got some ice cream to share as we sat on the rooftop. We were either strategising about how to defeat hawkmoth, since that's the only think we can talk about, which is kind of sad if you think about it, or we were sitting in silence, but it wasn't awkward, it was peaceful. Even though I don't know who's behind the mask and I don't know anything about the boy dressed in black. I feel I can trust him with anything.
