Jungkook stared at the chubby girl across from him as she babbled on about something-he wasn't really listening, too busy staring at her round face and dimples as she talked. He was mesmerized by alexa and he didn't particularly hide it but Alexa seemed to miss the longing stares Jungkook would give her and the random compliments he'd throw her way. So clueless he thought to himself.

"Jungkook?"

"Earth to bunny...?"

"Jungkook!"

Snapping out of his trance he shakes his head and clears his throat "yeah?" Alexa tilted her head and giggled at the boy in front of her. "Did you hear anything I said?" Jungkooks eyes widen as he tried to think of an answer close enough to what she could've possibly be talking about but nothing he came up with wasn't right. So he decided to be honest "n-no?" He chuckled nervously. Alexa rolled her eyes in a playful manner making jungkook scratch the nape of his neck while chuckling.

"I'm sorry, plum" he apologized, giving her the smile that granted him the nickname she now refers him to. Alexa sighed and played with end of her shirt sleeve, "it's alright, I was just talking about this performance arts school I want to go to when we graduate" she informed him. "I really hope i get in" Alexa mumbled then a small gasp pulls from her when his warm hands touched hers; she looked up at him in confusion "Alexa you're going to get accepted in, you have the grades and the voice they'll be stupid not to" jungkook rambled. Alexa giggles and nodded her head "maybe you're right" she responded.

Jungkook let out a 'hm' sound, a smug look casting over his face "I'm always right" the two teens bust out in laughter.

Calming down alexa sighed and shifted her position on her bed their sitting on, laying her head on his shoulder. Jungkook tensed up a little but quickly calmed down. Even though they've been friends since elementary he still hasn't gotten used to her affection and touches.

"Your going to apply there right? To the school?" Alexa questions. Jungkook went silent and stared up at the ceiling. Alexa frowns and lifts her head up from his shoulder to look up at him, jungkook avoided her stare which made her more confused and kinda worried "jungkook?" She turned to make eye contact with him; jungkook sighed and finally built courage to look at her "n-no, I don't think I want to go anymore" he spoke up, his tone wryly and small.

Alexa was taken aback since they talked about going to the same college to stick together.

"Oh, well uh, is there a reason?" Jungkook hated how sad and confused she sounded. He held her close and thought about how he's going to word this without upsetting her more.

"I just- I don't think college is for me, well not right now and I know we talked about this before...I'm sorry" he rambled again. Alexa shook her head while repeating 'no,no,no' "don't apologize bunny, that's very understandable and I can't be mad at you for that" she reassured him, voice soft and comforting. Jungkook let out a sigh of relief and put a hand on his chest making Alexa laugh out loud.

"Thank you for not getting mad" he said.

"Honestly im more mad that you thought I'll get mad about something that everyone has felt before" Alexa said and pinched his cheek making the teen boy playful swat her hand away. Alexa giggles but quickly stops when she comes to a realization, Jungkook notices and frowns in worry "what is it?" Alexa starts to play with the hem of her pjs shorts and sighed "well since you aren't going to college anymore then that means...I'll be far away from you" she explained. Alexa dreaded that. The two best friends have never been separated, inseparable since they were kids.

Jungkook nodded and held Alexa close "I-I know but look we can call and text each other, I can even try to visit you" he tried to reason.

Alexa nods sadly "it won't feel the same as seeing you in person but at least it's something" she shrugged.

The two teens hold each other till they fell into a deep slumber together.
