Something is off with chase today and I'm determined to figure out what!I checked the lunar calendar and the next full moon wasn't until next month so that wasn't it....Hell I even asked Caleb but he was no help.not to mention Our telepathy isn't working.

"What?I thought I was working in the kitchen with Chase and Tyler?Why the sudden change?"I asked. Kendall avoided my eyes
"Schedules change,Riley."Her voice became softer and more sympathetic.Before I could protest,she walked off.I snatched up the broom and made my way to the dino-Cafe.I guess I was too caught up in my own thoughts because I soon found myself in the prehistoric part of the Museum.I took a deep breath
"At least I'm alone."My voice echoed throughout the room.What felt hours laters,The floor was complete swept.I wiped my brow,"Once down,One of go."I felt a chill run down my spine like I was being watched.Something growled inhumanely."Who's there!Show yourself."I demanded
"Such a pretty young thing,It pleases me to know that you haven't been claimed yet."I felt something knock me off my feet.My head slammed against the wall.My eyes lost focus."You'll make a fine Omega."The thing sniffed the air."Ooh and you have just gone into heat,What fun!"Don't think less of me when I tell you this but I screamed.

Chase

I don't want to avoid Riley but I don't want to hurt him.A scream sounded through my canine hearing
"What was that?
"What was what?"Tyler said giving me a strange look.
"Where's Riley!?"I demanded trying to control my fear.
"Last time I saw him,He was heading toward the Ice age."I took off down the hall."Chase?!Where are you going?"Tyler shouted after me
"I'm saving my Omega!"Riley's sent was becoming stronger until I found him.A dark figure was stalking towards him.Great!Another alpha!I saw Riley slumped against the wall.Blood dripped from the side of his head.My panic was replaced by anger.I tackled the alpha to the ground.I wrapped my hands around his neck
"Hands off my Omega."I growled.Seeing Riley in pain made me let go of all control.This guy is gonna die and I'm gonna be the one to do it.
"I didn't know he was claimed."The Guy stammered."I-I-I didn't know."He choked.I glanced at Riley.Fear filled his eyes.My heart skipped,No!I am not my father!I am not a murderer.I looked down and saw the fear in the alpha eyes was the same fear that my mother had on the night that my father killed her.This guy couldn't have been any older than 16. I let go of the Alphas neck and stood up.I offered him my hand.He hesitated but then took it.
"Now let this be a lesson to you.Others aren't as forgiving as I am."I kept my voice even. "Now get out of here kid."He took off running.I ran over to Riley and helped him up.His blonde hair was stained with blood."I'm really sorry Riley."My voice broke as tears dripped from my eyes"You didn't deserve that."
"I'm okay Hotshot."Riley said looking at me.
"You're bleeding."Riley touched the side of his head and winced.
"It's nothing that I can't handle."I bent down to let him climb on my back.
"Well,You aren't walking,Get on."Riley climb up without arguing.He yawned and nuzzled his face into my shoulder blade.I smiled,I won't let anything happen to you, Riley Griffin,I swear on my life.
