"Remember that your exams are getting nearer. I will post the link to the entire note on my page. Good day," the professor said and left the lecture hall.
Ashanti stayed in her seat as she watched her mates get up and walk out of the hall. When a few people were still remaining, she grabbed her things and stood up to leave.
She was walking down the hallway when someone tapped her shoulder, making her turn around to see Dylan. He was a heartthrob with shiny brown hair, a slim but built physique with green eyes and pink lips. To say he was handsome would be an understatement.
"Hey Dylan," Ashanti greeted with a smile. Dylan smiled back at her. "Hey, Ash. I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me to get something to eat. Just the two of us, " he suggested.
Ashanti let out a smile. Even if she wanted to, she knew her father and brother would never let her. She had given up on finding love since highschool days. She had never found herself getting interested in guys.
"I'm sorry, Dylan. I'd love to go but I can't, I'm busy," she told him. Dylan felt a little sting in his chest at her rejection but he expected it. He knew that Ashanti Edwards would always reject all the guys that asked her out. But he wanted to try.
She was an eyecatcher. With her black 4c hair, glowing brown skin and heavy curves, who wouldn't want to claim her? Her and Nina we're almost every guy's dreams.
"Alright then, it's fine," he said to her. Ashanti felt uncomfortable, "I'm really sorry." Dylan gave her a smile and turned to leave. She let out a defeated sigh before turning around and continuing her walk.
"I blame Dad and David for this," she mumbled as she walked towards the exit of the University. School was over and she was eager to get to her bed and sleep. Then her phone rang.
It was Makayla.
"Yes?" Ashanti answered.
"We're in front of your school gate. Nina's with us, we're waiting for you," her sister said. Ashanti frowned as she spotted Mabel's black Jaguar XF.
"Please don't tell me we're going out, " she said to her sister. "Alright, I won't tell you, "Makayla chuckled and hung up.
Ashanti looked at her phone and groaned before walking towards her sister's car. "Hey darling," Mabel greeted her with a sly grin. Ashanti rolled her eyes and got in the back seat with Nina.
"All I wanted was sleep," she mumbled and they chuckled at her. "We're going to get new clothes," Makayla said and Ashanti sighed. She had no say in it.

"It's too short," Ashanti complained, earning a glare from her sisters and Nina. "That's why it's called Nightwear shorts," Nina said to her as if she was dumb. Ashanti scowled. She was wearing a blue satin nightwear with shorts that barely covered her thighs.
Makayla turned to the sales woman, "We'll have this and one more of a different color for Nina." "I want green," Nina said and Ashanti rolled her eyes as she went remove the clothes.
After purchasing the nighties, they moved to the dress section. "I'm going to die here," Ashanti mumbled as she saw the number of clothes her sisters wanted her to try on.
After what seemed like hours, the shopping spree ended and it was time to go home. Ashanti was more than glad to go home. "I'm hungry," Mabel announced. "We ate not long ago, " Nina told her. Mabel let out a sheepish grin.
Makayla and Ashanti narrowed their eyes at her. Then everything clicked. "Wait, hold up," Nina blinked. She began to link the fact that she saw Mabel spitting several times to when she ate cheeseburger with pickles that she hated and now her sudden hunger.
"You're pregnant, aren't you?," Nina asked her. Mabel chuckled and walked past them. "Come back here young lady," Makayla followed after her and spun her around while the others followed. "Speak."
"I'm six weeks pregnant, surprise!" Mabel whispered yelled at them. Ashanti let out a squeal and hugged her. "Let's go home and celebrate. Thank God we bought wine," Makayla said and they laughed.
They walked out of the mall and went to the car. As they drove, Makayla's phone began to ring. "Where the hell are you girls?" David's voice rang through the car and the girls rolled their eyes.
"We went out to celebrate girls day," Mabel replied. "Bullshit. You didn't even take Benny or Kode with you!" David exclaimed. "We're almost home, chill down your balls," Makayla said to him as Mabel drove. "You could be in danger," David said.
"We'll talk when we get home," Makayla said and hung up. Ashanti couldn't care less, she wanted to sleep.
They got to their estate and drove in. After parking the car in the garage, they all got out and carried their things into the mansion.
They walked into the living room to see David pacing back and forth in the living room. "Dramatic much," Ashanti thought as she yawned.
David turned and approached them. "Are you guys insane?" He asked in anger making Ashanti blink in surprise. Makayla and Mabel weren't moved but the two younger girls were shaken a little.
"Can you stop all this nonsense? We're here, safe and sound," Mabel said to him. "This isn't France. It's fucking America!" David bellowed. "And so what? Do you think yelling at us will change anything? We're here, safe and sound, so get over it!" Ashanti yelled back in frustration before walking past them to the stairs.
She turned around to see everyone looking shocked, "We can handle ourselves. We're not dumb." With that, she climbed up the stairs.
Makayla turned to face her brother, "You heard what she said." The girls then walked past him.
Nina went up the stairs and headed for Ashanti's room. "Ash?" She knocked on the door. "Come in."
Nina walked in to see Ashanti laying on her bed. "Are you still mad at him?" she asked. Ashanti rolled her eyes, "He's too overprotective, it's overbearing and annoying. I hate it. He acts like as if I can't defend myself."
"That's how our men are," Nina told her and Ashanti scoffed. "They're annoying," she said. The knock on the door drew their attention.
David stood by the door with his hands in his pockets. "I'm sorry, girls. I had a rough day and I feared that something might have happened to you guys when I didn't meet you at home," he admitted as he looked at them.
Ashanti sat up and crossed her arms across her chest. "Stop talking to us like that," she said, referring to the way he spoke earlier. "I'm sorry," David said to her.
"You're forgiven," the two girls said and ran to hug him
