"Aww you got me flowers!" I said to my dad
Once I woke up and got out of bed. My dad nodded his head and never mentioned Bo came over and gave me the flowers
"Hey Ashlynn, can you go get some coffee from the store?" My dad asked
I replied with a yes and went back up stairs to get changed; I wore a pair of capris, a v neck T-shirt and my classic pair of tye-dye crocs. I opened the front door and across the street was Bo. I quickly closed the door but, Bo 100% saw me. He stopped walking and took a look at the front door, I was getting extremely nervous until he continued walking. The weight on my shoulders relaxed and after a few minutes when I couldn't see Bo I got in my car and drove to the grocery store.
I grabbed a box of coffee and a few extra things and went back home. Once I was back in my neighbourhood I was careful and kept my eye out for Bo just in case he was outside. I quickly parked my car and grabbed all the groceries and made it inside the house with no sign of seeing Bo.
"Did you see Bo?" My dad asked when he spotted me inside the house
I shook my head no and he continued to say
"He has walked pass the house over 5 times since you've left, I think he wants to talk to you,"
I shook my head no before rolling my eyes and walked up stairs.
When I walked in my room there was 2 new messages on my phone one from Missy and another from an unknown number. I firsted looked at the unknown number.
Unknown
I need to talk to you Ashlynn
Who is this?

After that message I never heard from them again. I quickly forgot about the message and looked at what Missy had messaged me

Sure why not

"What have I done!" I whispered to myself
Dad doesn't work today and he's gonna want to know where I go if I go out and he's going wanna spend time with me.
I stayed in my room thinking of plans to go to a party. I could go to bed early and sneak out but, he would catch on. I could be honest but, he would feel bad I don't wanna hang out with him. I finally went back down stairs not having any idea what to say until he said to me
"I have a casual dinner night with a few friends that I forgot about. Can we do something tomorrow,"
"Yeah, no problem," I responded back all chill but, in the inside I was so excited.
It was now 1:30, I still spent some time with my dad but, once it was 4:30 I went into my room and started getting ready. I was wondering to myself why do I care about this so much I rarely go to parties and when I do everyone is drunk and act stupid.
I did my makeup wearing a little more then what I usually do and wore a pair of jeans with a V neck sweater and ditched the crocs and went for my pair of black high top converses. I went back down stairs to only spot my dad all dressed up. Usually when he goes out for dinner with his friends he wears a T-shirt and jeans but, this time he's wearing a dress shirt but, still rocking a nicer pair of jeans then what he would usually wear.
"How come your dressing up nice tonight, do you have a crush on one of your friends,"
I said
He let out a big laugh and said no while he was still in the middle of laughing
My dad soon left and I was home alone doing a few things before I was about to leave as well. The time was about to be 6:15 and that's when I was heading out the door.
BO'S POV
I probably looked like an idiot today. I didn't have the guts to talk to Ashlynn even though she was home all day. I embarrassed myself by walking pass her house every few minutes because I wanted to see her. I must of seemed like a stalker by how many times I walked by her house. The worst part was I messaged her and I'm sure she thought the person was weird. I went outside into the backyard after dinner with my older brother. We played catch and we talked about being back in our home town. The time flew by and before the two of us noticed we were barely about to see the the ball and catch it. We both went inside and made our separate ways. I went downstairs and went to see what was on social media. There was a party going on a few blocks down with people I used to go to school with. I was thinking of weather to go or not but, in the ending I decided to go and try and get Ashlynn out of my head.
When I got to the party there was already a lot of people , the music was loud and people were already black out drunk. I started regretting going to this party I had all the boys wanting pictures with me because I'm on TV and all the girls were all over me because I have money. I was finally able to get away from all the people and made my way to the food. There was a Hawaiian pizza with only a few slices left. When I was about to grab a piece there was another hand about to take a piece, when I looked up it was Ashlynn already looking at me. We made eye contact but, not for long because she started running away.
"Ashlynn wait, I need to talk to you!"
She didn't listen to me but, I was able to catch up to her and grab her hand to pull her back to me. When she was in front of me only a few centimetres away from each other is when I noticed her features like her eyes and the almost little to nothing makeup she had on. Ashlynn only stayed still for a few second before she was trying to break out of my grip.
I finally let go when she game close to my ear and whispered
"Let go,"
Ashlynn continued to walk away not turning back once and I stayed where I was. Once I lost sight of Ashlynn I left the party and went back home. On the kitchen table was a memory album. I started looking though and noticed it was the summer of 2016. In the beginning it was pictures of only me in baseball then slowly Ashlynn was in more of the pictures in her baseball jersey then there were pictures of us together at the beach and not just at baseball.
"You and Ashlynn were really close back then," my mom popped out of no where.
"Did you know when you left Ashlynn. Are over looking for you and when she heard you were gone she was devastated," my mom continued to say "you should talk to her before it's to late,"
I went to bed that night thinking about what my mom told and how I could talk to Ashlynn with out her running away from me. The next morning, my first thought was how can I find a way to talk to Ashlynn. I thought of many ideas but, none of them could very work until I thought of them having dinner at our house.
"Hey mom, can you invite the Zigras for dinner tonight,"
She agreed to invite them and later that night Ashlynn and her dad came over.
It was obvious that Ashlynn didn't want to come but, her dad had the biggest smile on his face like always.
"How's my favourite batting coach?" I ask giving him a hug
He said he was alright and moved on to talk to my dad. Ashlynn was standing at the front door with her hands in her pocket. Before I could go up to her and ask how she is doing my mom butted in and asked me to help her with dinner.
