Chapter 2

Roses POV
He said that like it was no big deal, most boys his age would get grossed out let alone use the proper terms like he did. Weird.
"Ok I'm going to see where my mom is, you can sit on my bed or the chair where ever works for you ok just get comfy," he says once we get to his room. "Ok sounds good," I tell him siting on his bed but carful not to get my shoes on it. He walks over and picks me up putting me on the bed in the middle before taking my shoes off him self saying, "I said get comfortable pretty  I'll be back." And he just walks out like no big deal. I smile because I love when he calls me pretty.

"Ok so Rose tell me about your self not just your story," Mrs. Rodriguez says to me. We are sitting in the living room I already told her what I told Cavin at the football field so I start with my full name, "Well my name is Rosalee James White, I'm almost 17 my birthday is in a week on the 15th of October, I grew up in the valley in California and I used to play baseball at the sandlot" I tell her. "oh so I'm guessing you know about Benny ?" she asks me. I nod and look at Cavin who is holding Oaklynn on the other side of the room in a rocking chair. "Oh look at you with your wide eyes did you have such a good nap pretty girl?" He asks the newborn in his arms. His mom walks over and sits on the couch beside me form her spot in the kitchen. "He's always loved babies, he's good with them to," she tells me looking at her son with so much love. "Yea I can tell you've raised him well," I say tarring my eyes from my girl and her new best friend back to Mrs. Rodriguez . "Thank you that means a lot, but hey let me show you your room I had our ranch hand set it up when Cavin texted me to tell me about oaklynn and he just got done." I nod at her and stand up following her up the stairs, I look back and see Cavin hasn't even looked up from oaklynn and he's just making silly faces at her. I smile and continue up the stairs behind Veronica.

"So this is your room you've got a big enough closet for you and oak your bathroom connects to Cavin's room if you need him and he's a heavy sleeper so he shouldn't wake up to baby crying and that way you can go to his room if you need Something," Mrs. Rodriguez explains as we get to my room. "This is too much Mrs. Rodriguez I can't except this I can really just stay in my car till I find an apartment," I tell her while looking around the gorgeous room. "Oh no first call me Veronica or Ronnie and honey your staying here and Cavin told me how Oaklynn is going to day care and that you hate it so I'm offering to keep her while you go to school so you know she's safe here, plus I really miss having a little baby around the house." "Wait are you serious?" I ask her turning around in disbelief. "Yes my oldest little starts school next year so she's already independent and my littlest little is starting the year after her so he's trying to be just as independent. So yes I'm serious I would seriously love to watch the sweet girl." I run and hug her breaking down in tears. Thank you thank you thank you thank you," I keep on mumbling in her neck. She raps her arms around me and holds me tight and whispers, "Your ok your safe. Lets go back downstairs and I'll stay here and watch Oaklynn and you and Cavin go get your car." I nod and and we both head downstairs finding Cavin and Oaklynn asleep. "Ok maybe we let them sleep and I'll take you when I go pick up the twins," the black haired beauty tells me as I follow her to the kitchen.

"Bubba you home already," A little boy yells coming down the stairs. I look up from my phone and see his arms wrap a little tighter around my baby. "yea I am bubba now you need to use our inside voices ok," the curly head blonde says. "oh," says the disappointed boy. "Hey your not trouble coop come here and let me show you why." the toddler walks over to his older brother and looks in his arms. "It's a baby," the little one whispers looking up at his brother. "Yea it is her name is Oaklynn." Hi baby Oaklynn." I think my heart melted just now, He leans over and gives her a tiny kiss on the head. Yep my heart is in a puddle. "Can I hold the baby?" His sister Mimi I think asks Cavin as she walks down the stairs. "I don't know Mimi can you ask Rose it's her baby," he says looking at me to show who she should ask. "Ms. Rose can I hold your baby?" She asks me coming to sit beside me. "Yea just stay sitting ok your brother will bring her over," I tell her and smile at her. "Yay thank you Ms. Rose." "Just call me rose sweetie," I smile at her brother as he walks over and carefully puts Oaklynn in her arms and fixes her hands before looking at me to make sure I got her. I nod at him and he backs off going to sit on the floor beside Cooper to play with his toys. "Hey kids I'm going to get the twins here in an hour and we are meeting your dad for an early dinner at Annie's so Cavin, Rose, and oaklynn will go in Cavin's truck and Mimi and cooper with ride with me to get the twins," Ronnie comes in the room saying. "But mamma I wanna ride with bubba," Cooper says to his mom. "I'm sorry buddy but your car seat is in the car so you have to ride with me," she explains as she crouch's down to his level. "Can I sit by him at Annie's?" He asks her. "Yea I think that will work. So we ok with riding with me now?" Yes mamma,"he says hugging her around her neck. "Ok good now let's go change you and your sister in some real cloths."

"Hello Rose it's nice to meet you," Mr. Rodriguez says to me once he sits down. "Hello," I reply looking up from my baby. "So I hear you'll be staying with us from now on," he comments. "Oh umm yes sir only till I can find an apartment though," I tell him. I suddenly feel a hand on my leg and hear Cavin say, "no she's staying with us for good," he says to his dad squeezing my leg. I roll my eyes smiling and continue to pat Oaklynn's bottom while she nurses. "Oh ok I see. So this is your daughter my wife has gushed about," he says looking at Ronnie and back at me. "Yes sir this is Oaklynn," I say smiling up at him.
We order our food and while we wait for it I stand up so I can go to the bathroom when Cavin asked, "Hey want me to hold her while I go the the restroom." "Oh yes please I'm not that talented yet," I say handing her down to him. "Oh yes that takes awhile trust me on that one," Ronnie tells me while looking up from the place mat that Mimi had drawn a picture on. "Oh I bet," I say back to her. Cavin smiles at me then looks down at my daughter and says to her, "Hey pretty girl I missed you, did you have a such good nap." My heart is once again in a puddle. I smile when I hear Mr. Rodriguez tease his son on the baby talk and I just head to the bathroom thinking I don't know how this happened, but I sure am glad it did cause I never had the money to rent an apartment.
