"alright are you ready to head in?" I ask my girlfriends as We are sitting Infront of her childhood home . "no that is Hayden's car right there, do they just think I would forget what car he drove. I am pretty sure Oak was conceived in that car." "Ok ok calm down baby, how about we get oak out of the car and I'll carry her inside, they won't try and take her from me, and if they did try and take her I have no reason to give them her cause I don't know them. How does that sound?" I ask her. "ok and ill carry the diaper bag in. Will you cover her up with her blanket i don't want them to see her pretty face." "Yea i can do that but when she wakes up I don't know how much of her face i can cover, she's getting to the point that she likes to look around and explore." she nods her head and we get out and both do as we said we would before heading to the door. "Hello mom, mom this is Cavin, Cavin this is my mom," my girlfriend says introducing us. "Hello Mrs.white my names Cavin Rodriguez," I tell her sticking my hand out for her to shake. She looks at my hand and shakes it back. "We'll come on in its cold out there," she said moving out of the way so we can walk in. She clearly doesn't know what cold is. Rose walks in first and I walk In after moving the blanket off oaks face a little so she can breath. We walk into the living room and I shield my baby from everyone. "Well let me see my daughter," I'm guessing Hayden said. "Yea not gonna happen buddy. I don't know you and rose may know you but this is my daughter and you aren't holding her," I tell him. "Excuse me what do you mean your daughter. You weren't here for her when she was going through her pregnancy no I was then she up and left," Haden told me. "Umm no I know the story. Im not gonna sit here and let you talk like you know the story. So you can either go sit you ass down in that chair you were in and we stay or we leave you pick," I tell him standing taller then anyone in the house. He gives me a glare that I think he wants to scare me but in the end goes and sits down. "Why do you think your her dad?" A lady I don't know said all disgusted. "Because of this," I tell her. I start to position Oak to where I can hand her off and she babbles a dada and latches on to my neck tighter. "So you brainwashed a baby," she said. That's all it took for me to decide I'm not having my daughter in this house any longer. "Hey baby me and Oak are going to go to my grandmas it's right across the street I don't want her in this house any longer. If you wanna stay and talk come over when you are ready to leave if not you can come with us now," I tell her turning to look at her. "I'm gonna stay but I agree get our girl out of here," she tells me. I reach down and kiss her lips and whisper the words I know she needs to hear right now, "I love you so much." I stand back up with the diaper bag in my hand and walk out with a sleeping oak on my shoulder and a stunned family looking at me.
Roses POV "Why is he taking my granddaughter I never even got to hold her?" My mom asks me as she comes back into the living room. "Well Hayden just walked right up demanding to hold her and when Cavin said no grandma said he was brainwashing her," I tell my mom. "Well is he?" "No mom he's not. Now why did you want me to come here?" "Well we want you to move back home," she tells me. "No." "Excuse me?" "No I'm not moving back home. I have a boyfriend who loves me and my daughter and I have a family that helps out so much. I have a little boy who I help with his homework so he can pass. I have a little girl who is so in love with my daughter that I have to pick her up out of my daughter crib in the middle of the night when she makes her way in there. I have a family and it sure as hell isn't y'all." I stand up and walk out the door but not before I turn around and tell them, "do not contact me again unless it's for you to say sorry or someone died." I turn and make my way to Cavin and our daughter, my family. **** "Hey rose how was your parents?" Ronnie asked as we made it to the air BnB. "Awful they tried to make me move back home." we walk in and cavin sets Oak on the bed and gets her out of the car seat and transfers her to her crib. Once he is done he pulls me to our bed and pulls me on top of him for a much needed nap. "Hey baby," I say before he is asleep. "Yea love?" "I love you too," I tell him. He smiles with his eyes closed and hugs me closer to him.
