6. The Talk

After their shower, they gave each other a quick kiss and went their separate ways to work. The whole way to work, Katherine tried to think of a way to bring up that she was actually thinking about allowing Cole to buy her business. She also wanted to bring up the fact that she wanted to live with him but didn't want to seem like she was being pushy or moving to fast. Decisions, needed to be made and she wasn't sure how to make them. But how could she want to live with someone she knew barely anything about? She knew they were both in the sales business and that he was a gentlemen and made her happy, but other than that she knew nothing about him. Maybe she could ask him to meet up for lunch? She decided to send him a quick text, "meet for lunch at the cafe?". He immediately replied with, "wouldn't miss it. See you there love.". Well now that's settled, what was she going to say to him? How was she going to bring up him buying her out? She didn't want things at her company to be different. She wanted everything to stay the same, and she still wanted to run it. But she knew she couldn't fix this without help. She goes back to work on her computer, just waiting for her lunch break to hit.
12:00pm comes along and she practically runs out of the office to the cafe. She was excited to see Cole. She got to the cafe and he had already ordered her usual drink, and got her a cinnamon roll. They sat, eating and drinking their coffee and talking about work until Katherine finally says, "Cole, I've been thinking. I think you should buy me out. I'm willing to sell, with certain conditions. Nothing changes at my office, the name, the workers, all of it. I want to still run it too. I did work really hard to get this company this far, but I'm seriously at a loss on what to do. So I'm willing to sell." Obviously shocked and caught off guard, Cole replies, "Katherine; are you sure?". She was, she was really willing to do this, if it meant keeping her company afloat. And honestly, it would give her an excuse to spend more time with Cole. "Yes, I'm sure." She replies softly. "But another thing, I don't know anything about you, Cole. I want to know more. What you do, where you're from, your favorite things. All of it." With a big grin he replies, "I'll tell you anything you want to know love. I'm from South Chicago. I grew up poor, and basically supporting myself my entire childhood, my parents weren't ever around. I decided to work hard in school and become a salesman, and open my own business. I sell coffee cups, tumblers, stuff like that. Basically the same thing you're doing. I love the outdoors, and I really do love my job. I've got everything I've ever wanted now. And I've done it all on my own." She smiles, "do you think I could see your company?" With a huge smile Cole says, "yes, would you like to take the rest of the day off and I'll give you a tour?" She nods and calls her assistant Michael, to inform him that she would be taking the rest of the day off. They finish up their lunch and their coffee and head towards Coles company. They pull into the parking lot of Worthy Industries and she let out a huge gasp. "Wow, it's huge." Cole parks, and comes around to let Katherine out, he takes her hand in his and leads her into the building. They start at the offices, and make their way down to the production area. "Cole this is amazing. How could you do this yourself?" She says to him in disbelief. "It took a lot work and dedication for sure. It definitely wasn't easy." He replies to her. "Come; love. I'll show you my office." He takes her hand in his again and leads the way to his office.
      "Cole, can I stay with you at your house tonight?" Katherine whispers. She had never been to his house before, he had always stayed with her. Shocked, he turns around and says, "you may, love. You want to hang out here with me till I get off?" With a big grin she says "of course!".
         Katherine finds a movie to watch on the tv in Coles office. Cole continues to work at his desk. She decided to get up, and see what he was doing. "Whatcha working on?" She says, while wrapping her arms around him from behind. He grins, and says "just documents from this week. Nothing fun" she kisses his cheek and heads back to the couch to finish her movie. She ended up falling asleep, and woke to Cole telling her it was time to go. He told her that when they got to his house, he was going to cook her dinner. No one had cooked dinner for her before, so she was excited.
       It was about 30 minutes to Coles house from Worthy Industries. They pull into the driveway of a huge mansion. She lets out a slight yell, "YOU LIVE HERE?" She says shocked. He laughs and replies with "yes, come now. I'll show you around." He leads her through the garden, which was absolutely beautiful. It was filled with roses, Lilly's, and so many other different flowers. He leads her into the house and shows her the kitchen, bathroom and living room, and his room. His house was gorgeous. Nothing like she had ever seen before. How could a man this rich, want to spend so much time with a small town girl, barely staying above water? Not the time to think about that. She says to herself. For now, just have fun. Cole leads her back to the kitchen where he starts pulling out a bunch of different stuff, and told her to have a seat at the bar, and dinner would be ready before long. She watched him as he moved around the kitchen, cooking, he really was sexy. All she wanted to do was get up and kiss him but didn't want to distract him, besides she had all night to do that.
     About an hour goes by, and dinner is done. He hands her plate with lasagna, and a side salad. It smelled delicious. He hands her a glass and pours her some wine, and takes a seat beside her at the counter. He takes a bite of his food and looks over to see hers almost gone. He laughs and says, "I take it as it was good?". She looks up, nervous, wipes her mouth, and says "yes it's delicious, sorry I look like an animal.". He laughs, and tells her, she looked as beautiful as ever.
     They finish up dinner, and washing their plates and putting dishes away. He leads her to the living room, with a bottle of wine in hand. Pours himself and her another glass and they start up a movie. Katherine loved watching movies with him cause it gave her an excuse to cuddle with him. They ate popcorn, drank wine and finished up their movie, and by the time they checked the time, it was already almost midnight. Cole leans down and gives her a quick kiss and asks if she's ready for bed. Takes her hand and leads her upstairs to his room. She grabbed Cole before he could get in the bed and kissed him roughly, and whispered in his ear, "I want you baby.". He lifts her up and wraps her legs around his waist. He wanted her too and bad. He kisses on her neck and a moan escapes her lips. He lays her on the bed and kisses her lips, slipping his tongue in her mouth. She presses against him, moaning with each touch. He slides his hands down her body, and into her panties, rubbing her clit, while she moaned with pleasure, she pressed his hand harder into her, wanting to reach climax. But just as she was fixing to, he pulls his hand away, and whispers, "not yet love". She falls back, breathing heavily, she pulls him up to her, and whispers, "do you want me to do something for you"? "No love, that was strictly for you tonight. Now get some sleep.". He kisses her forehead softly and wraps his arms around her, and he could feel her fall asleep on him. All he could think was, "how did I get so lucky?".
Cole decided to get up early the next morning, to make Katherine breakfast in bed. He snuck into the room, laid her plate on the end table, and whispered in her ear, "love, wake up, I have something for you.". She opens her eyes and he leans down and gives her a quick kiss, and shows her the breakfast he made for her. Bacon, eggs, and pancakes. She looks at him with a smile, "you didn't have to do this for me Cole, but it sure does smell good.". He lets out a chuckle, and hands her a cup of coffee, just how she likes it. He wanted to show her, just how much she meant to him. He didn't want to lose this, or her. But he didn't have the perfect relationship history. But he wanted to make sure, he kept her around. Because after all, he was falling in love with her. And he was hoping she felt the same way.
     After Katherine finished her breakfast, Cole told her to shower and and fix her hair, and he was taking her shopping for swim suits, and dresses for their boat trip this weekend. She had completely forgot he invited to her that, but she is getting excited. She showers, throws her hair up, and meets Cole downstairs. He had his suitcase ready for the boating trip and that just made this all more real to her. He holds his hand out to her, "are you ready to go shopping love?" She nods her head and takes his hand as he leads her to the truck. "So where do you wanna shop?" He says to her. She shrugs her shoulders, "I'm not sure, I always shop at Walmart usually cause it's cheaper." He laughs and says, "Victoria's secret and Macys it is.". Cole makes his way to the mall excited to help Katherine pick out outfits for the weekend. "So which place first?" Cole asks softly. "Uh, let's go to Macys first." She replies to him with a smile. "Lead the way, my love." He says happily. She holds out her hand to him and he follows along. She starts looking at dresses, and prices and looks at him with sad eyes, "I can't afford these Cole.". He lifts her chin to have her face to face with him, "love, don't worry about the prices, I got it. Pick out whatever you want.". Warily, she picks out a few dresses, and says she's ready to pay. Cole grabs the dresses and takes them to counter, "you ready to go to the next store?" He says to her sweetly. She nods her head in agreement. He leads the way to Victoria's Secret for her to pick out some swim suits. She grabs three of them. One pink, one black, and one red. She makes her way over to the perfumes and lotions, and Cole asks her, "do you want some of those too?", she grabs one of each and heads to the counter. No one had ever spoiled her before. She felt a little guilty and offered to pay him back, but he refused and said it was his gift to her. They make their way down to the food court to get some lunch. They pick TGI Fridays, and after they finish eating; they head back to the truck. "You ready for this weekend? It's gonna be fun.", Cole says to her. "I'm excited!", she replies happily.
