Ghost was growing weary, Soap and him had been chasing rumors, not able to grab their target for weeks now. Their combinative always seemed to be two steps ahead of them, by the time they learned of his next possible location, everyone was gone before their boots even hit the ground. Nearly nothing was ever left but some useless documents and a few of his supporters who were foolish enough to stay behind to try and slow the pair down. After taking down Graves, they worked endlessly to removed Shepard. Exposing his crimes to the US government proved easier said than done but they discovered missiles weren't the only weapons he was trafficking in hopes to start a war.

Shepard's crimes ran deeper than they had ever thought. The more they uncovered, the more they realized that Shepard was only a pawn in a bigger game of chess. While Shepard thought he was using Makarov to start his war for petty revenge, he was actually the one being used. Makarov was the leader of a terrorist organization calling themselves "Inner Circle.' From what information 141 and Laswell could collect, Makarov was using Shepard as a source to secure American military weapons. Shepard was selling weapons off to Russia through allies in the middle east. Shepard's fingers ran much deeper than just Missiles though, he had offloaded; Rockets, Artillery, Chemical weaponry, Explosives, and Category 4 weapons... anything he could get his hands on other than nukes themselves.

Shepard was using private military companies such as "Shadow Company" as a security to get the weapon over seas without suspicion. Once the weapons were in the middle east Shepard pawned them off to Makarov, who used criminal organizations such as the Cartel to transport the loads over country lines and into Russia. Makarov's hands reached further than just Russia or Iran or Mexico, he was selling weapons to all major terrorist groups around the world under Shepard's nose. Both men were hoping to start World War lll between Russia and the US and be the ones to cash in from the fall out. But Ghost felt there was more to this than the want for petty cash or glory. He felt like there was something bigger at hand, he just had to find the right intel to prove his suspicions right' but every lead, every safe house, and every compound they raided only seemed to throw them crumbs. They were chasing whispers at this point and we're running out of time.

"We need a new plan .....This Bas is Boggin!" Soap hissed out as he landed another punch to the mercenary's cheek.

Their captive had stopped reacting to Soap's jabs about three hits ago, and was now just slumped forward, the ropes around his chest holding him to the chair was the only thing keeping him from collapsing into his own lap. Ghost could tell Johnny was just using the poor lad's limp body to blow off steam at this point, but he really couldn't blame the sergeant, these missions have been nothing but frustrating lately.

"English MacTavish!!!" Ghost groaned out as he glared at the Scott, his arms were folded against his chest as he leaned against a wall. Soap's hand was now holding the unconscious man's face between his thumb and index finger, scanning the battered mug for any sign of life. The beaten merc's eyes fluttered open than back close, and this reaction had seemed to satisfy Soap's question so he pushed the man's face from his hand, allowing his head to fall backwards before laying against his chest once again.

Soap rolled his eyes "Sorry sir, let me translate ....This Bastard is Useless!" Soap retorted in the most sarcastic tone. Johnny was right, they had been at this for hours now and only seem to be squeezing out information they already knew. Ghost pushed himself off the wall, reaching for his pistol strapped to his hip.

"We're done here," he groaned as he walked over to the man tied to the chair, placing the muzzle to the top of their captives' head and pulling the trigger. Soap scrunched his face in disgust at the sight of the now dead man in front of him.Ghost turned away, leaned into his radio on his shoulder, while placing his pistol back into its holster.
