Ghost was one of the first to enter the debriefing room, Price and Laswell were already inside as they had been preparing for the summit. Ghost walked in and headed for the farthest back corner of the room and leaned against the wall with his arms folded. It was but a moment longer before Gaz and Soap filed in, all taking a seat around the large war table. Elizabeth was the last one to make her way inside, Laswell meeting her by the door so the pair could speak before hand. Ghost hadn't realized he was staring at her, raking his eyes over every inch of her body, trying to remember every one of her features. She had ditched her tactical gear and you could fully see her frame now, unobscured by the bulky gear. He recalled how small she was compared in size next to him, it made Ghost feel even larger than he normally did.
He just observed how she seems so different from the woman he remembered, it was little things that were throwing him off. Her walk, what use to be unbinding and firm, that of a soldier was now soft and fluid, as if she was a feline. And her face, what used to hold a lite smile even at rest, it was now deadpan, senseless. Her wide expressive eyes were always filled with excitement and hope, now narrow and frigid as if she was looking through you and not at you. Her whole demeanor came off as cold, this woman could once light up a room by just walking in but now she was stern and serious. What had happen to her over these past few years, had being in the CIA really changed her that much? Ghost really shouldn't be the one to ask these questions, he'd only have to look to himself for the best example of things changing a person.
Ghost continued to watch Laswell and Elizabeth's interactions, until Elizabeth handed off a file and a flash drive. She walked over taking a seat at the front of the table furthest from Ghost, and Laswell clicked off one of the lights to dim the room before joining her. Laswell stuck the flash drive into her laptop and began clicking away at the keyboard for a few moments before standing. She coughed to gain the rooms attention before pointing a remote at the projector and an over view image of a large cargo ship popped up on the wall.
Laswell Spoke up, "I currently have my top agents infiltrating 10 different cartels, mafias, and terrorist organizations globally in order to keep a closer eye on their activities. After Shepard's betrayal and we learned of 'Inner Circle' I started pushing certain agents to gain positions closer to the heads of these organizations. Agent White was selected for the Russian division, tasked with infiltrating the Solntsevskaya Bratva Group, she has been running up the general ranks for some time now. She was one of the only active agents to get within the inner working of the mafia that was working with Inner Circle. Through White's intel, we discovered they're moving missiles again, this time they are headed for London. As far as we can tell this is the first of the shipments to leave Russia since Shepard and Hassan."
"Why wasn't this intel shared with us sooner?" Soap probed.
"It was need to know, and the US wanted to keep this thing under wraps for now, but as long as we had a man on the inside, we were comfortable with leaving them to their plan until we were ready to strike." Laswell stated firmly.
"And possibly risk thousands of lives!" Gaz vented, while clenching his jaw.
"We are looking at the bigger picture here, this is the closest we have ever been to Inner Circle, I'm not risking years of our work on rumors." Laswell said aggressively.
"So how does this get us Makarov?" Ghost questioned calmly, looking at Laswell for the answer.
"It doesn't, we'll not directly." Elizabeth interjected.
Ghost snapped his head towards her, " We were told you would have the intel on Makarov's whereabouts!" Ghost was angry.
"It's not that simple, no one has that intel and there is no way to steal it" Elizabeth retorted. Everyone else's eyes turned to her now.
