Chapter 4 (the colt is in this chapter from the picture)

In Town (Bella's POV)

"Hey Bob, have you seen my dad at all?" I asked the store manger

"No, sorry Bella. But do you want to pick up your food?"

"Yes please and thanks"

As soon as we got to the A.G College there was people in a big group, one person looked up and yelled Max's and my name. We all ran over I could see my dad with a horse. And ribbons in his hands. I walk over to Dad,

"what is happening and whose horse is that?"

"This is your horse and the ribbons are mine, go home a pack your bags we are going to the state championships. You're going to entre every event as well as Max."

"But dad I hardly do anything and also are you sure that is am going to states shouldn't someone else be doing it?"

"They think that you have a gift and you're going to be dropping out of school to do this. Ok? And also Max your Mum and Dad think it's good that your dropping out of school for this so going a pack your bags"

CHAPTER THREE

"I'm all done!" I yelled across the house.

"Thank god, you were taking forever now help me pack!" Max yelled

"What? You said that you were all done."

"No I don't know what to pack. Do you have any boyish shirts?"

"Yes but I am going the wear it but you can wear it after me."

"Fine then."

"Hey Bella, can you please put a nice shirt, jeans and a belt buckle that I gave you for your birthday because there is people wanting to take you picture for the Country Life" yelled dad from the shed

"Ok." I was all dressed up to make a 9 hour dive and before that I have to take photo with my dad because he is one of the nationals that is competing but I never knew that he was a national Champion. I go outside and there is max all dressed up.

"You look stunning, can we now go and get the horses?"

"Ok, ok and you look handsome."

"Where dose the men want to take our photo's?"

"I don't know maybe at the cattle yards?"

"Well I head the car going down that way so I think we should go."

"Ok" when we were heading down there I could see that there was lots of cars and trucks.

"Why are they all here?" I ask Max

"Because they want to see you ride and break in a horse because they all want to hire you to work for them."

"What?" I nilly yelled at max "sorry" we walk down the road towards the truck, max's hand grabbed my hand and I smiled and blushed. Finally we got into the yards, there were boys that I knew from Brisbane with their father. Max went to talk to them. Dad came over and told me which was the quite one which was the bay one and the jumpy one was the buck skinned one. I hoped into the yards with the two horses, dad told me to go for the bay one but I chose the buck skinned one. The horse run towards me, I stopped still and waited until it stopped. One of the boys handed me a rope I knew that I had the catch it. I was never told how to break in a horse but while at boarding school I watched Youtube on how to break in a horse. I slowly walk up to the colt, I slipped the rope into my back pockets of my jeans. I grabbed it neck and started to pat it check I knew the horse was relaxed so I put the rope around its neck and tied it to the halter. I gathered some of its main and pulled myself up on the top the colt. He jumped but I squeezed my legs so that I didn't come off, he bucked and reared and the last jump I was tired and fell of he stood there while I stood up and gave him a carrot and rubbed his blaze.

While I must have been concentrating another Ute pulled up and I could see that Jack and his dad was getting closer. I looked at Max, he nodded saying that I did good. Jack got over to where I was talking to some of the boys that I knew.

"Hey, aren't you the girl who won third at the campdraft and I went to school with then your mum had to leave so you left?" he asked

"Yes I was that girl." I said slowly

"Was?" he asked?

"Yes was, you could say that I am now a tom boy who only like boys who have four leg with a main, tail and you can campdraft on."

"You're Jack aren't you?"

"Yes and you are Bella right?"

"Yep and now can you please get out of my site?" I turned around other boys and they were giggling there head off.

"Bella and Max, can you please come over here for a sec?" asked my dad

"Yep." Max and I replied at the same time. We walked over to my dad and Jack's dad was there.

"Hey kids, just wanting to let you know that you are both working with Mr Miller and this son Jack. Oh great my heart just sank the rest of the term with the ugly face.

"Bella and Max grab you things out of the truck and Bella you are going to take the colt with you and train him there."

"Ok" I said sadly. I loaded up the back of ugly face's truck and tired up the colt the end stall in the ford 1980 truck.

"All ready to go?" asked my dad

"Yep all set" after I said good byes to my family and friends I headed with Jack and Max for a 5 hour dive with two boys which only one I hated to the death. Max I friend zoned him because I just want to work.
