The next morning, Evie and Jack slept peacefully side by side. It was already Christmas morning, and a small gleam of sunlight peaked through the curtains of her dorm room's window. Within moments, Evie moaned and yawned, before stretching her arms. She saw Jack lying on his back with his hands on his stomach, and smiled at him. She loved watching him sleep. Although, since it as Christmas morning, she wanted him to get up so they could open their presents, and begin their day of giving, happiness and bliss of the holiday. She leaned in and kissed him softly on the cheek, he stirred slowly awake, and opened his eyes. Then he turned on his side to see Evie smiling at him. "Merry Christmas, Jack." She said with love in her voice. He smiled at her and slowly sat up on his pillow, "Merry Christmas." Evie slid off of the bed and stood up. She was barefoot and in her pajamas, she extended her hand to him, "Come on, let's open some presents." She said kindly, as Jack nodded and took her hand, getting up from the bed. He followed her into the other side of her dorm, where she had a Christmas tree set up, and of course there were at least a dozen presents lying under the tree. Jack couldn't believe his eyes, although he had a few presents under there for Evie as well.
Evie sat in a chair that was close by. She watched Jack and a smile pursed on her lips, "I have a special present for you." She grinned as he looked through the boxes with dark blue wrapping paper. He then picked up one that stood out to him the most.
She sat there and smiled at him, putting a hand on her cheek as he gazed at the wrapped up box, "you can open it." She said with a giggle. Jack opened it slowly and when he pulled the box cover off of it, he couldn't believe his eyes. Evie had made him a brand new tuxedo, all by her own hands.
Jack smiled, this was an incredible tux. No one has ever done anything like this for him. He said thank you to Evie, and then presented her gift to her while she sat in her chair.
Evie took the wrapped up gift from Jack, and slowly opened it up, she gasped in surprise, Jack had gotten her a new pair of high heeled boots, and the colors were perfect. "Oh my gosh! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She said to Jack, as she put them aside, got up and hugged him tightly. He hugged her back and said, "you're welcome." He was glad he gave her the best gift she could ever want, though Evie and Jack had something even better besides their presents, they had love, but they wouldn't admit that to each other just yet. For now, they spent their Christmas alone together, as happy couples do.
