Freen's POV

After dinner we went straight to bed. Her mom was right Becky doesn't want to drink her medicine, we had a chasing game around the house. Me being not so athletic gave up easily, so I used my brain to blackmail her.

Me: If you don't want to drink your medicine I will burn all your carebears.

Becky: Nooooo. Okay fine.

Clap~ Clap~ Clap~

Becky's Mom: Wow! Congratulations Freen, it only took you 20 minutes. You've beaten Nop's record of 35 minutes.

Becky: Mom you don't have to say his name. I don't want to remember him.

Becky's mom just mouthed sorry then left us to bid goodnight. Becky and I went to Becky's room afterwards.

Me: Who's Nop?

I asked when we entered her room. She was taken aback then looked at me worriedly.

Becky: He was my childhood friend. He confessed his feelings to me when I was about to go to London but...

Me: Do you like him?

Becky: I used to like him but...

Me: So that's why you don't want us to give a chance? Is it because of him?

Becky: Well can you atleast give me a chance to continue. I liked him when...

Knock~ Knock~

Maid: Khun Becky, Khun Nop is at the living room asking for you.

Becky: Okay give me a minute then I'll go down.

Just a minute huh? That fast she wanted to see him. I wonder if he's handsome to the liking of Becky.

Becky: We'll talk later. Wait for me please?

She went out the room to see that Nop. On my curiosity I followed her to see and stalk those two. They went to the garden to talk. I hid behind the bushes, I can hear and see them clearly.

Becky: What are you doing here Nop?

Nop: I heard that you're here, its been a while Becky. How are you? I missed you. You didn't answer my calls and messages after what I said at the airport 3 years ago.

Becky: It's because I don't know what to do and say. Our friendship is more important to me. Yes I liked you too but now I like someone else.

Nop: Khun Freen?

Becky was shocked, so was I.

Becky: How did you...

Nop: It is so obvious in your eyes Becky. The way you look at her. Your gestures around her. You care for her. I've known you since we're in diapers. But Becky maybe it is because you're always around her, we used to be around each other too before you decided to go to London to study. And we used to like each other, now that you're here we can continue that. I've waited for you. I can take care of you too. Only you Becky.

Becky: How would we know if I only like her because we're always together? Or if I still like you?

Nop: Kiss me Becky. Remember when we were just kids, you said that we'll reserve our first kiss to someone we love and that we wanted to try on ourselves if we really like each other.

Becky: Nop I don't think that is a good idea. I will not just kiss someone to know if I like you or not.

Nop: I'm not just someone Becky.

This Nop just wanted to kiss Becky. He's taking advantage on Becky's innocence. I can't let him do this to Becky, I need to stop them. But before I went out from the bushes I saw Becky hugged Nop and after she put her hand on his cheek. It is like she's really going to kiss him. With that action she did I went back to her room quietly, maybe she like him still. My heart hurts then I realized I was now crying.

Becky's POV

I hugged Nop because I don't want to hurt my one and only childhood bestfriend but I really need to put a line between us. I don't want our friendship to be wasted because of his one sided love for me.

But when I parted from the hug and I put my hand on his cheek I saw Freen coming out from the bushes and ran inside the house. Oh no, she must've heard and saw everything, and maybe misunderstood my actions. I'll deal with her later, for now I need to tell what Nop needs to know.

Me: Nop, I like you as my bestfriend. I care for you like a real brother. Yes I used to liked you and had a crush on you but when I was in London I realized that you and me being more than friends makes me a lot more awkward towards you. I'm sorry Nop.

Nop: I guess you really like Khun Freen now huh?

Me: Yes I do but I don't think she'll like me the way I like her.

Nop: You're not hard to love Becky. I'm sure she's just confused. But hey if she refuse to love you I'll come and get you, okay?

Me: Stop it Nop. Go home now. We need to sleep early for practice tomorrow.

I entered my room and it's dark only the lights from my window can be scene.

Me: P'Freen?

When I opened the light I saw P'Freen on her side already sleeping. She must've been tired. I came closer to her and saw a stained of tears from her eyes. Did she cry? Why?

The Next Morning

Its still dawn, I was about to sit up to go to the bathroom but I felt P'Freen's arm hugging me. So I took the courage to face her and there she was sleeping peacefully like a baby.

Me: I wish you can be my girl and let me take care of you too. I'm sorry if I fell in love with you. Maybe in the next life we can be together.

I caressed her cheek and kissed her nose, I was tempted to kiss her on the lips but I fight the urge to do it. I took off her arm that's hugging me and proceed to take a shower.

If she wants us to be in just as Phi and Nong I shall grant it for her to be comfortable with me again. Forget it Becky, you'll never be more than just that. I cried while showering as it really hurts.
