Y/N POV
I've never seen Rengoku so happy as he was now. He had insisted on walking me to my first-period class. Of course, us being boyfriend and girlfriend now he wanted to hold my hand. Just us holding hands seemed to give Rngoku even more confidence than he already had. He walked through the halls with his head held high. I on the other hand wanted to crawl into a hole to never be seen again. I hated the stares we were getting from the other students in the halls by the end of the day everyone would know about Rengoku and I's relationship.
I found comfort when we finally reach my first-period class but Rengoku didn't let me go. We stood off to the side so we weren't blocking the door for the other students. I was fidgeting in my spot while Rengoku looked at me like I was the greatest thing ever made.
I cleared my throat before speaking "I should get to class"
"I wish we had a class together" Rengoku commented
"Uh we have P.E together today"
Rengoku let out a sigh "I would prefer to have all of our classes together so I could keep an eye on you"
Boy really we've only been going out for like five minutes and you are already acting like this. I kept those thoughts in my head not wanting to hurt Rengoku's feelings.
"Y/n"
Rengoku and I turn to see it was Tanjiro who had called my name. When Tanjiro saw mine and Rengoku's joined hands his eyes became void of emotions.
"You should hurry up class is about to start" Tanjiro's voice was monotone nothing like I have heard before
Tanjiro turns his back on us before retreating into the classroom. He was right the hallways were almost empty now. Most of the students had gone into their own classrooms.
"Can we have lunch together?" Rengoku asked
"Sure Rengoku" I replied
Rengoku's face scrunches up. I had done something that had displeased him.
"Could you call me by my first name?" Rengoku asked
I was his girlfriend it did make since we would be on first name bases.
"Kyojuro"
Kyojuro's face lit up when I spoke his first name. He was so excited he place a quick kiss on my lips. I looked around making sure no one had seen the kiss. Luckily the hallway was completely empty of anybody.
"I'll see you at lunch Y/n," Rengoku said as he took off down the hallway to go to his own class
I made my way into the classroom that was filled with students now. Everyone's eyes seemed to go on me as I enter. I kept my own eyes downcast so I wouldn't meet their stares. When I sat down I turn to Tanjiro to talk to him but his eyes were staring at his desk intently. The angry look on his face made me turn away from him.
