MARTEDI - Tuesday
You wake up and think today is a good day. You have an excuse to talk to Daniele and it's going to be about phones. You love smartphones and are on top of your smartphone game. Will Daniele get an iPhone or the latest Samsung? Or the new Nothing Phone you've been hearing about. The phone world is your oyster. You get ready for school and head downstairs. You pick up a slice of bread from the stack your mom made. You're so fast that your mom hears the door closing behind her before she could say,
"Ciao *slam* Oscar... Oh that boy..." she chuckled to herself.
You think up of a million conversations in your head, the possible replies, the witty comebacks. That's all you could think about on your power walk to Scuola Media Galileo Galilei (Galileo Galilei Middle School) . You really want to impress Daniele.
"Do you think it's alright if I mention this?"
"Will he think of me as a show off?"
A million thoughts. A million ideas. All for one person. Soon you find yourself on the school compound. To think that the school will be closing down soon. You cherish the view of the front door.
"Ciao! Oscar!" shouted Livia as she waved at you.
"Ciao Livia!" you replied.
No wonder she's miss perfect. She's nice to everyone.
"Ciao Oscar!" shouted Pietro. In an attempt to mock what Livia did.
"Ciao..." you quietly replied. Your face a mix of shock and disgust. You didn't expect Pietro to say hi to you.
Livia quickly stared deeply at Pietro, face all angry.
"What's your problem?" she said as she turned her head away in a snooty fashion. She didn't want to hear a reply from Pietro and quickly stored her bike and marched into the school building. Giulio is quietly watching all of this unfold from your 4 'o clock position.
"Ciao" he said while tussling your hair.
"I never noticed you in class before" he continued
"Aha I was always the quiet type." you meekly replied.
Pietro walks fast towards you. You completely prepared for him to ignore you.
"Livia eh? She's such a goody two shoes." he said. Looking at you. With his signature piercing blue eyes.
"Y-yeah Livia hahah. She's nice though" you stuttered.
Your train of thought is having trouble staying on the rails at the moment. Not Mr Popular speaking to you after all this time.
Daniele's probably in class right now. you reminded yourself
"Wanna walk to class together?" said Pietro in good spirits.
Giulio nudged him playfully.
"What? We've all got two legs."
"S-sure." you said.
Like the three musketeers, all 3 of you made haste for class. Not wanting it to be a silent run, you break the silence.
"So how's basketball practice guys?" you asked.
"Eh not so good but we WILL beat 3D" replied Pietro
"and Arianna will finally go out with me." continued Giulio
Pietro rolled his eyes and tsk. All 3 of you reached class and made way to your seats. You scan around for Daniele. As usual, he's in the front with Mirko. You put your bag down and tried to head up front. As you put down your bag, you see Isabel and Monica come in. You know Daniele is going to talk to them first so you stayed put at your seat. A big fight broke out, you hear Isabel accusing Mirko of stealing Daniele's phone but Daniele put the fight to rest. There goes your plan to talk to Daniele. You decided it is way too tense right now to be going up to Daniele for anything. You sat back down and prepared your workbooks on the table. You look up for a second and Mirko is heckling at you for looking at him. What a way to start the Tuesday.
