October 4th
Alice Belle Weasley
"George!" I shouted up the stairs.
"Yes?"
"Are the kids dressed yet?"
"Almost."
I am in the shop, instructing Verity of what needs to be done today. She and Ron will be running the shop today while George and I go to the Burrow with the kids.
"All of these boxes here," I pointed to the boxes in the storage room, "they will need to be put on their respective shelves."
"Hi, my love." George comes up from behind me and kisses the top of my head, "We're ready to go."
I turn to see him holding Luke and Anne, our angels.
Luke is two and Anne is one. Shortly after we got married, I became pregnant with Luke and a few months after having Luke, I became pregnant with Anne.
"Is there anything that I'm forgetting to tell them?" I ask George.
"I don't think so." he smirks at me, "You almost ready?"
"Did you bring my coat downstairs? The black one?"
"I would never forget it." He smiles and hands me the coat while balancing both kids.
"Let me take one of them." I say, referring to the kids.
"I've got them, babe. You just grab their bag."
"Bye guys." George and I walked out of the shop, him carrying the kids and me holding their bag filled with toys, food, and other necessities.
We used the floo network and arrived at the Burrow almost instantly.
"Good morning, you two!" Mrs. Weasley said, "And you two as well." she smiled at the kids and immediately took Anne from the carrier.
"She is growing up so fast." She laughed, "How are you both?"
"We're good." he smiles and sets Luke down. He walks over to Ginny, who picks him up.
"What're you doing here?" I ask.
"Came to see the kids."
"Well," Mrs. Weasley said, "I won't keep you two here. Run along now."
"We'll be back tonight."
"You both could use a night without them. Come back tomorrow morning." She said.
"I couldn't ask you to do that." George chimed.
"It's your anniversary! Enjoy it, Please."
George and I apparated back to the flat to have breakfast together.
"We get a day and all night to ourselves." he walked up behind me as I was taking eggs from the fridge. He kissed my head and then my cheek lightly.
"I've missed this. I've missed you." I said and turned around to look at him face to face. He is about a foot taller than I am, meaning I needed to look up at him. He's wearing gray loose pants and a red crewneck.
"How would you like your eggs?"
"However you'd like to make my eggs."
A tension was forming between us, but we were both hungry. Too hungry to ignore it. Hungry for eggs that is.
He sat at the bar in front of the stove and we talked while I cooked.
"What would you like to do today, darling?"
