Emma:
I pull up the car outside our house, it's nothing big, a two bedroom flat on the third floor. We show Millie around (watch video) and she's gawping all the way round, I don't know why because it's nothing good but it's cute she's so excited. Before we show her to my room, we best connect her to the internet seen as our lives revolve around it, and hers probably soon will too. I ask Millie to get her phone and she pulls out a cracked blackberry curve, I can't have my daughter having a phone that doesn't even work, I signal to Luke to come over and whisper to him to get her a new phone from town and off he goes.Luke:
We've just shown Millie round our house, Emma asks to connect Millie's phone to the Internet and she pulls out a blackberry, Emma looks shocked, her face was a picture, she signals to me and tells me to go into town, I'm off to go get Millie a phone that 1). Works 2). She will be able to use in public. (Not saying they're bad just go with it). I hop in the car to go get her a new phone whilst Emma shows her to her bedroom. I go straight to the O2 shop because it's the best network and I know they'll have exactly what I want, I buy Millie a 64GB gold iPhone 5s (not 6 because she's only 12) and two cases, one that's clear and has jewels on the back and one that's pink but you can charge your phone via it so it'll be useful for days out and stuff. I buy her some beats headphones and earphones too and a iTunes gift card so she can actually use the phone, I hope she likes it.Millie:
This is so overwhelming, I've just got home to my new house with Luke & Emma (I don't know whether to call them mum & dad, it feels weird) and their house is amazing, they probably don't understand why I love it but when you've been sharing a three bedroom house with 6 kids and Kaylee for a while, a cardboard box sounds luxurious. The first thing Emma did after she'd shown me round (not my room yet, I think she's saving it?) is ask to connect my phone to the Internet, but when I pull out my blackberry I've had since I was like, 9 and I'm nearly 13, she looks horrified, she signals Luke over and whispers something to him. We wait for Luke to return from where he went before we see my room as Emma decides that Luke probably wants to see my reaction to my room too.Emma:
I can hear Luke pulling up outside, I hope he's got a good phone, he can be dopy, I hope he bought her a contract because it wouldn't surprise me if he forgot.Luke:
I'm just pulling up and I can almost hear Emma asking herself if I've done a good job, I think I've done an amazing job, to be honest.Millie:
Luke's home, I can see he's got a carrier bag and I think it's an o2 bag, oh my gosh, has he actually got me a new phone?! Luke comes and sits down at the table and slides the bag towards me. I look inside and there's 4 packages, a iPhone 5s in GOLD, two phone cases, a gorgeous jewelled one and a useful charger one, the last package is an iTunes voucher, Luke said he'd gift me his and Emma's songs so not to buy them with that money, I know what I'm gonna buy, Lucy Spraggan's albums 'Join the club (deluxe)' and 'We are'. I love them both so much, I think they could see how thankful I am because I can't talk, I mouth thank you and they come over and hug me, I feel so spoilt.Luke & Emma:
"Right, time to show you your room!" They say in unison.Millie:
Emma opens the door to my room and when I look inside it's got cream coloured walls with gold writing on with inspirational quotes, there's a massive chalk board with a pack of loads of pins on one wall, Emma said it's so I can have posters but not ruin my walls, I'm over the moon. My bed is king sized, it's white and gold like the rest of my room, my chest of drawers is gold (it doesn't look tacky like you'd think) and I have a white mirror, it all matches so well and looks so grown up, it's beautiful, I run over to them and hug them, I love them so much.Emma:
"Millie, I'm gonna go set up your phone, Luke has something else for you!" I shout at her as I walk downstairs.Luke:
We go into the 'Lemma pad' as we like to call it and I pull out two packages and tell her to unwrap them, one is both of my merch shirts and one of each colour of my 'ahmayzing' wristbands, in the next package there is Emma's 'I don't wear hats' sweater, Millie looks so shocked, "Omg, I always wanted merch but could never get it, thank you so much!" She almost cried to me whilst hugging me and knocking me over, either she's strong or I'm weak, definitely strong.Emma:
"Your phone is ready!" I call from downstairs and I hear them running down the stairs, gosh, they sound like elephants.
