Adopted by Lemma

Tuesday 12th May 2015.

Emma:
"Millie! Hurry up, we've got to get to Leeds before 8pm and it's already nearly 2pm, we've got a LONG train journey ahead of us!" I shout, I don't want to be late for the train, I'm really excited, probably just as excited as Millie to see Lucy live, Millie has got me into Lucy just as much as her.

Millie:
Me and Emma are going to see my Queen live tonight, in Leeds, we chose Leeds because I have an internet friend who lives near Leeds and is going there so Emma said we could go, she's also a blackerino and she doesn't know Emma is my adoptive mum. I'm really excited it's gonna be an amazing night.

*Skip past the whole train journey to outside the venue*

Millie:
*texting Jess* "where are you?!" I ask her and she replies instantly with "behind you" she doesn't know that Emma has just gone to sort our tickets out, we walk into the venue, me, Jess, Jess's friend and her friends mum. Jess suddenly stops without warning, nearly tripping me up, she looks like she's about to scream.

Jess:
Oh, my, gosh. Is that who I think it is, Emma Blackery, stood at the tickets booth. I stop flat and I loose all ability to walk or talk, Millie looks really concerned and Molly hasn't even noticed I've stopped. Emma walks over to Millie and just casually says "all done, you alright?" To her, wait, does Millie know Emma? I flash a smile at Emma trying to conceal my inner fangirl, Emma sees me and just says "you must be Jess, I'm guessing, hey" Emma Blackery knows who I am, she knows my name and I've not even told her it yet. Millie is on her phone typing away throughout the whole encounter. *my phone pings* text from Millie "Yeah, I kind of forgot to mention Emma is my adoptive mum and I told her all about you on the way here, you're the reason why we came to the Leeds gig instead of the London one, sorry about that, selfie sesh?" I can't handle it, I think Emma can see because she comes over and hugs me, Millie joins and Molly is just stood watching, I reckon for her to come over, I'm not letting Molly miss out. I can't believe all this is happening. We all play a game of pool (in teams, me, Molly and Millie .v. Emma and Molly's mum) and the adults win, obviously. I go to the merch stall and buy a t-shirt and CD. I'm gonna get that CD signed later when we meet Lucy. We all go into the stage area and I'm stood next to Emma and Molly, Kal Lavelle comes on stage, her accent is a little hard to understand but her songs are amazing, wow. We have a short selfie session and Emma followed me and Molly on twitter before it all went dark, then the lights, the music, and there she is, my Queen in the flesh. This is all happening too fast.

Millie:
We listen to Lucy singing, she's bloody amazing, she's Queen, I record all of it, I'm enjoying this, I'm glad I came to the Leeds one. Lucy finishes her song about Jeremy Kyle and then unsinkable comes on, she's just sung the first chorus, in the instrumental, she smiles DIRECTLY at Jess. Our Queen has just smiled at Jess, she's so lucky, I am so glad she's got that on tape. Lucy finishes her set and they start clearing us out of the arena, Jess asks security about where they're coming to meet us and the security person says "I haven't told you this but she's doing a secret signing outside her tour bus in 30 mins" and off we go to meet Lucy Spraggan.

*skip the waiting*

Millie:
"OH MY GOD" shouts Molly as Lucy comes into view. We take loads of selfies, one each alone with Lucy then a couple of group shots, we all get everything we want sorted then it's to the hotel, we're all staying in the hotel because it's late and we don't want it to end just yet. We go to our nearest premier inn and we have an amazing night of more selfies, dancing, singing and just having fun, around 4am we all decide to go to sleep and as we're not off into school tomorrow, we decide to explore Leeds as I'm going back to Basildon tomorrow night.
