Emma:
"Luke, hurry up! The Birmingham (yes I know they're in Basildon but I'm going with that it covers where you were born even though that's not how it works) orphanage opening starts in 40 mins and we've got a 20 min drive! I don't want our child to be adopted by the wrong family!!" I shouted up the stairs, if he makes us late I swear I will not be happy! I can hear him slamming drawers, he's probably looking for something to wear, I wish he'd sorted this earlier it's not exactly a rash decision. "Ring the taxi, I'l be down in 5 just doing my hair!" Luke shouts to me, hopefully we're going to be on time, I can relax.
*Skip forward to arriving*
Luke:
'We've arrived outside the orphanage. Our new child is waiting inside that building, I'm excited to bring them home later today when the paperwork is sorted, I wonder if they know they're getting adopted today?' I think to myself.
I grab Emma's hand as she leaves the taxi, her hands are clammy from sweating, I know she's as nervous and excited as me, this is a massive step for us, we're becoming parents!
Emma:
I've just got out of the taxi outside the orphanage and Luke grabs hold of my hand, he doesn't mind that it's clammy, he knows my hands sweat when I'm nervous. My soon to be son or daughter is in there, I'm really excited to meet them now.
