(M|n) could feel the excitement thrum within his body as Belphegor led him somewhere. Today was their fifth year since they started dating.
Belphie had woken him up surprisingly early and informed him that he organised a day out for them because it was their special day, and that he needed to get up.
(M|n) could see that he was extremely tired, nonetheless he was stood awake, waiting for him.
He was touched that Belphegor organised whatever he did for their anniversary but he kept feeling concerned that Belphie was fatigued and so he kept looking over at him as they made their way to their anniversary date.
It was apparent that he noticed the constant side glances because he gave (M|n)'s hand a light squeeze as he gazed at him. "Is there an issue?" He asked in concern.
(M|n) chuckled and shook his head. "It's not an issue, it's just that I'm worried that you might be feeling sleepy after waking up so early in the morning." Belphie's eyes widened for a moment before a lazy smile made its way onto his lips.
"Oh, you don't need to worry about that-" His speech was cut off by a loud yawn. He continued once he was done. "I am feeling a little tired but once this day is over you and me are taking a long sleep together. I just wanted to take you somewhere nice since this day is so special. I'd feel bad if we just spent our anniversary sleeping again because I'm always so tired." Belphie stated sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.
(M|n)'s eyes softened with affection for his boyfriend. "I see. But Belphie, I don't mind sleeping on our anniversaries because the best thing about them is that we get to spend them together." (M|n) told Belphie honestly.
"Well. . . I still wanted to change it up a bit for this year. I hope you like this. I honestly was lost for ideas, so I went to Beel. At first, he kept telling me ridiculous things but then he finally came up with a doable plan." (M|n) laughed to himself, already envisioning Beelzebub's numerous, probably food-related suggestions.
"Can I know where we're going now? We've been walking for ages!" (M|n) complained impatiently. Belphie rolled his eyes.
"Not yet. And we're close anyways, you'll see in a moment or two." (M|n) groaned but didn't enquire further. Instead, he observed the scenery that surrounded them as they made their way. Everything was just so beautiful, even if it was always bathed in a forever-night. There was just something so magical about these dark skies.
"Everything is so gorgeous tonight." (M|n) commented to himself. He wondered whether it was more due to the day that he felt this way rather than their actual surroundings.
"Not as gorgeous as you." (M|n)'s heart skipped a beat at the unexpected compliment. He could feel his cheeks growing warm. He grinned bashfully.
"You really had to say that out of nowhere." (M|n) grumbled, clearly flustered.
"But I'm only telling you the truth. Anyways, here we are." (M|n) had been so engrossed with everything around them he forgot that they'd been walking.
He came to a stop and looked up. He tilted his head, reading the sign on the building. 'Devil's Craft'. He took a moment or two to realise just where they were. He gasped loudly and pointed rapidly at the building with a shocked expression on his face.
