(M|n) let out a shiver as he walked to RAD by himself, his feet in a desperate hurry to make it there before he fully missed his first class of the day.
He had been originally walking with the demon brothers but he had to fall back when he came to the realisation that he'd forgotten his exercise book back in his bedroom. The brothers were obviously persistent in joining him back to the House of Lamentation but he shooed every single one of them away, telling them that he could get to and from the House of Lamentation by himself. It was just a single book after all.
It didn't take him long to find it. Once he spotted it, he hurriedly threw it into his backpack before rushing back to RAD. The weather around this time of year was extremely chilly. Not even a scarf and gloves were protecting (M|n) from the onslaught of cold. Maybe he should have grabbed his coat too. . . Well, it was too late anyways. He just had to make it to RAD as fast as he could in order to feel the warmth again.
Not too long later, he arrived. He let out short gasps of breaths as he slowed his pace and entered the building. "Damn, I'm out of shape. I need to exercise more. . ." He said softly to himself. Miraculously, he'd made it before the bell rang. (M|n) had been attending RAD for over six months at this point. He was beginning to become well-known amongst all the students.
Due to his amiable and kind nature, many demons gravitated towards him. (M|n) made sure to help out whoever he could and ensured that he never got on anyone's bad side. From the way (M|n) was raised, you wouldn't expect such behaviour from him. He was constantly talked down on by his parents.
He always did his best to ignore anyone who was hurtful towards him, coming to peace with their horrid behaviour by reassuring himself that their insults were due to their own insecurities.
(M|n) tugged his scarf off as he walked over to the classroom he knew he was in. As he made his way over, many different demons gave him a wave with a smile, greeting him. (M|n) shyly gave them answers back with a small smile before continuing to make his way.
He finally came to a stop in front of the door to his class. He noticed that there were a few demons already inside. He peeked, wondering whether any of the brothers were in there yet. They should be. . . After all, they arrived before him!
He wasn't able to fully check because he all of a sudden felt glares drilling into him. Sensing the eyes on him, he couldn't help but feel extremely uncomfortable. His curiosity got the better of him, and he raised his eyes, wondering who might be sending him such an intense glare.
He was startled to see a trio of demons sending him glacial looks. (M|n) knew it wasn't wise to keep looking back at them but he just wanted to see whether he recognised any of them. His gaze was quick as it swept over all of them. Nope, don't recognise them one bit. (M|n) told himself.
Despite not being able to identify any of them, he couldn't help but feel this urgency to run away. Their expressions and gazes were not at all friendly. (M|n) knew very well what looks like those meant. He internally sighed. He had to remind himself no matter how kind he could be, there would always be those who still resented him for whatever reason.
