Prompt: Wednesday asks Bianca about the weird feeling(s) she gets with Enid, and Bianca has to gently break it to Wednesday. Also this is heavily inspired from a story called 'Sunny, Sweet Poison'
Wednesday didn't understand. Which was rather problematic, since she always understood things. And it had to do with Enid. It always had to do with the colorful lycan. But alas, in order to solve a problem, the first step is to acknowledge it. The facts were, she had a horribly pleasant sensation of crawling spiders in the pit of her stomach whenever she was around Enid. It was also important to note that when thinking about Enid, she would get the weirdly satisfying sickly feeling of her stomach turning itself inside-out. And when in close proximity, would trigger a rash-like burning sensation on her face. She also found herself wandering in thought about her roommate quite often. Maybe she was allergic? But no, she hadn't felt these symptoms back when Enid was merely a nuisance. Not that Wednesday's saying Enid is not a nuisance now. No, she had simply grown more accustomed to the way the werewolf would sing her heart out to that ear-bleeding pop music, and the way she would whine and pout adorably when she wanted to watch a romance movie with Wednesday, or how she would softly purr in her sleep. How she looked so...huggable. That's another problem, the goth thought. Having unwanted thoughts. Disgusting.
Shooketh with her findings, Wednesday hastily noted down these problematic behaviors. She spent countless wasted hours of her writing time trying to figure out what these things could mean, before begrudgingly admitting to herself that maybe she might need some extra help. The only positive side of her novel being delayed was a list of all the symptoms and what they could mean:
- Intrusive thoughts (caused by the deterioration of brain-cells due to that pathetic excuse of music?)
- The growing urge to touch Enid (perhaps also caused by that horrendous music?)
- Stomach/heart palpitations (a type of poisoning? a disease, maybe?)
- Arachnids crawling in the stomach ( perhaps a psychological trick of sorts?)
- A rash due to close proximity with Sinclair (an allergic reaction maybe?)
And one she had noticed occurring more and more frequently;
- Loss of focus/stuttering when near the she-wolf ( could be caused by her constant exposure to colors?)
So the obvious first choice for advice, was a disembodied hand. It's name was Thing, to be exact. In an irritated state, Wednesday shoved the list in Thing's face(?). She could practically feel Thing's exasperated eye roll. It truly should not be allowed for a hand to be able to convey such emotions with none of the required body parts. "I unfortunately require your assistance in figuring out what these symptoms could mean. Now, hurry up and help." Thing scanned over the paper, before rapidly signing some words and skittering off, leaving the notebook of Wednesday's desk. " What do you mean, it's funnier not to tell! Get back here, or you will lose all your digits!" But by now, it was too late, and the hand had escaped freely. "I swear to find the most agonizing torture for a hand once I find the reasoning behind my abnormal behaviors." Wednesday muttered, fuming.
Well, her closest companion had betrayed her, and she was left with 3 options for confidants: Eugene, Xavier, or.....Bianca. Although finding Eugene tolerable for the most part, she is almost 100% confident that Eugene had little to no knowledge on any topics even nearly relating allergies and/or poisoning and diseases. Therefore, this left Xavier and Bianca. Although she was slowly warming up to the artist, she still didn't feel comfortable enough with him. And his horrendous flirting skills are something that Wednesday can never forget, and may need extra therapy sessions to erase the damage. So, Bianca was her only option. Considering that the goth would rather gouge her own eyes out than ask her enemy for help, Wednesday thought about how bad she needed the clarity.
3 days later, Addams was walking towards Bianca's dorm, notebook in hand and dignity at stake. Upon arriving, she knocked, rather politely for someone who gave out death threats like a grandma gave out candy on Halloween.
"Yes? Who's ther- Wednesday!" The siren exclaimed, although not looking very thrilled to see the dark-haired girl. "Why are you here? Don't tell me you need help with something?"
"Trust me, I'm as thrilled as you are by my presence. But yes, it seems I require some help decoding my odd behaviors that I've been having as of late, if you must know." The goth girl replied clinically, as if she had practiced this line many times.
"Alright, then come in I guess. It must've been major if you actually felt the need to ask me." Bianca muses.
"Thank you."
After going inside and gingerly sitting on the edge of Bianca's bed, Wednesday turns her attention to the dark-skinned girl.
"Well? Spit it out then, what do you need?"
Wednesday ever so slightly shifts, not making eye contact for once, and Bianca wonders if this is what Wednesday is like when she's nervous. She feels bad for the shorter girl, and slightly softens her gaze, although her eyebrow is still arched.
All of a sudden, Wednesday gives Bianca a notebook, which is open to a particular page, with elegant cursive written on it. Bianca slowly looks over the writing, before starting to chuckle.
"I don't see what's so funny." The murderous girl said, finally making eye contact with the siren.
"God, you two are so painfully obvious. Wednesday, I hate to break it to you, but you have a crush on Enid. As in, romantic feelings for her."
"Bu-" Wednesday flounders for a short moment before regaining her composure. "But that simply cannot be possible. I swore I would never fall victim to the Addam's family curse. I swore I would never fall in love. I swore tha-"
Bianca just sighs.
"Well, you failed. Here, lemme explain. This, where you say 'Intrusive thoughts', you're talking about zoning out and thinking about Enid, that happens when you miss someone or want to be near them. And here, where you talk about your heart beating abnormally, you're referring to being nervous. The same thing goes for when you say that you stutter when talking to Enid, and when you mention feeling like something is crawling in your stomach near her. And finally, where you talk about growing a rash, that's called blushing, it's what people do when they are interested in someone. God, how can you solve a murder mystery but not your own goddamn feelings!?"
Throughout the siren's rant, Wednesday was in shock. So when she got a notebook to the face and nearly pushed out the door of the dorm, she was startled. The only words she caught before getting the door slammed in her face was; "-CAN THANK ME LATER! NOW GO GET YOUR GIRL BEFORE I DROWN IN DESPAIR AT THE SHEER DUMBNESS YOU AND ENID HAVE COMBINED!"
The goth stared at the closed door for a few minutes, suprised at the events that had just occurred and still processing. Eventually, Wednesday came to a conclusion on what to do next, and steeled her jaw in determination, before heading towards her shared dorm.
