*New Year's Eve*

Whitney was at the house with them. They were going to have a mellow celebration at the house. It was a better night than Marshall could have imagined. He had always been dragged to things by his friends. Now he could just relax at the house and ignore the outside world for a while. Madelyn was on one couch while his daughter was on the other.

"What are you two doing?" he asked.

"Watching movies. You finally deciding to come out of the studio?" Madelyn asked, glancing his direction.

"Yeah I guess."

He had been in his home studio for most of the day. He moved to lay down behind her on the couch. She shifted so that he could fit. His arm went around her waist. Madelyn settled against his chest with her head on his arm. He kissed the back of her head.

"You upset with me?" he asked softly.

She shook her head. He buried his nose in her hair and deeply breathed in her scent making her giggle. They spent the evening watching movies until it was almost time for the ball drop. He was surprised when his front door opened fifteen minutes before midnight. Hailie and Alaina walked in.

"Hey party people," Alaina joked when she saw them all laying around the living room.

"Hey," Whitney grinned.

"You guys look like your New Years Eve is just crazy."

"Always," Marshall laughed.

They hung out until the ball dropped. Marshall turned Madelyn in his arms and pressed a kiss to her lips. She smiled.

"Happy New Year baby," he said.

"Happy New Year handsome," she replied.

Hailie threw her arms around both of them and laughed.

"You two are just so adorable," she said.

Marshall shrugged her off, laughing.

"Brat," he said.

"Whatever," she laughed.

"We are glad that you and Madelyn found each other," Alaina piped in.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Yeah, you deserve to be happy and Madelyn does that for you. We all see it."

Marshall couldn't deny that Madelyn made him happy. He was less grouchy with everything in his life including studio time. Even Denaun had commented on his change in behavior. He hadn't been as much of a workaholic now that he had Madelyn to spend time with at home. She leaned on his shoulder for a moment. He smiled.

"She does make me happy," he admitted.

She giggled into his shoulder. He turned slightly and kissed her head. It was nice to be in a family finally for Madelyn. She had really felt welcomed into their family over the last few years. Marshall sighed with his arms around her waist. They would be going on tour again in February for the start of the Rapture tour. Marshall was just hoping that it didn't go the way that the last one went. He was nervous about it. Madelyn knew that he was worried. She couldn't promise him anything because of the way that fans acted. It was more worried about how they would act if they found out that he was married. She was concerned with it.
