I opened my eyes and saw the vision of my classmates A.K.A my friends under the drowning sunset; orange and yellow's fills the narrow-ending sky and the darkness of five post meridiem conquering the sunset. I paid a look on my friends and saw a soothing view, a noise of fun. There, I found them running and playing on the salty water of Earth, some are cooking, and the others are having a conversion. It was a three days celebration near the ocean. I stood up and walks toward the unfinished footbridge they are making-we are in Siargao (baybay), my mind says and I understood right away. I saw the workers and asks (in Surigaonon) if I can go on to the top-on to the footbridge. There was a cliff but you can forcefully jump if you want to continue (or die.)
"Paano ka makakapunta doon?" ("How would you go up there?") he asked back as he was referring to the after cliff. I'm quite pissed he's talking to me in tagalog while I talked to him in their dialect, the betrayal.
"Jump" I answered on my mind and walks away. I called out my friends and told them we should go to the footbridge. Based on my memories, it's not the footbridge I used to know, I don't even know if it's still appropriate to be called "footbridge". It is a lot higher and bigger now-a car can even pass.
We went under cliff and looked up the ruined bridge, it's as if 'something' purposely broke it. I asked the other workers that's on the top if we can take walk.
"You can't go there, you'll die if you do," he said.
Taking his advice-we climbed up in the after cliff and was nearly there until...
WE ARE BACK IN MY HOME.
Honestly, the distance is no joke.
Our house to the island = LONG ASS DISTANCE.
No one even bothered to be SHOCKED or even surprised, not even me, knowing that I sensed what JUST HAPPENED. I got along with it. There, they are still cooking and talking in our garageXgarden. Getting ready to go to the "beach" I knew was a "LONG ASS DISTANCE" onto our house and I act like it's normal, bruh, we'll have a long ass trip and a happy-yippie stroll across the country, what's so shocking? it's so-very-very-very n o r m a l.
TAKE NOTE: My Parents are Strict.
The night ended without me knowing how it did.
It just did.
I opened my eyes and saw the vision of my classmates A.K.A my friends under the garage's roof. There, I found them cooking and having a conversion. Filling by the darkness of six post meridiem. It is now a two out of three days celebration near the ocean. I stood up and walked towards my friends and made a small talk, noticing how fewer we got.
"Where are the others?" I confusingly asked.
"Went home," she answered.
"Why?" I am so confused and lost not knowing I was having a panic attack.
They were able to calm me down.
I'm sitting with my head over my hands on the top of the table. Two or three people came to me, I have no idea who are they and what they look like all I can remember is their left hands are occupied with the plastic cups. They asked me questions I don't remember well, and all I responded is telling them that everything is fine.
The next thing I know is I am standing by our main door and my Mom and Dad (remember the note?) are yelling on what the hell is going on into our garrageXgarden. I don't see them anywhere, I look for where the yell is coming from but it was all over the place. My friends heard it and panicked. I saw no one finding their way out of the place but I know deep, that they are leaving at the moment.
I was back, again.
I opened my eyes and saw the vision of our things. The trace of last night under the garrage's roof. There, I found no one cooking and no one talking. I found our tent with nobody. The silence of darkness of seven post meridiem feels like I was used to hear this for forever. It is the third out of three days celebration near the ocean. I stood up and watched the nothingness in front of me.
I searched for my phone and opened the group chat.
I typed "It's the third day of our beach celebration, where are you guys? Are you not coming?" I hit the send button.
They responded fast as I least expected. Never thought they have 'this' kind of similarities in them. Some said they aren't sure anymore because some things suddenly came up, others says they won't be able to come, while others are still typing and thinking of a way to come up with much realistic and more effective excuses.
I turned off my phone, noticing that I was drench by the cold pouring loud rains.
Except that I hear nothing other than the broken TV that failed to load a channel.
I once again meet the usual view I used to see from the start.
The Darkness of Five Meridiem,
It is no longer the same view.
Everything was ruined by the powerful rain.
A thought suddenly float from the bottom of myself and pops up out of my wet hair.
"What did I do to end up like this?"
