Chapter 1

Aura... The great land of Aura. Some people prefer to call it Island Aura. Nonetheless, it is a great, large land that has become a home to many people. Most of them, who were sailors at first, discovering new land and making it their permanent home.

The great land was first discovered by four great Captains. Fate had led them to arrive at the same time. After long days and nights of fights, arguments, and disputes over who would rule the land, they concluded splitting it.

The first Captain took the North part of the land, owning the mountains and all its terrains. Preferring the cold weather over the other regions.

The second Captain took the South part of the land, owning its beaches and the entire lower coast. Getting the upper hand to a future port, with the benefits of warm weather.

The third Captain decided to go to the Westside. He disliked the mountains and found the Southside to be too hot for his liking. The West was perfect to him; it was a mixture of hot and cold, depending on the season.

The fourth Captain... He was the most troublesome of all. He was the last to agree or give in to splitting the island. He wanted all of it; he didn't want to share a single part of it. When he finally gave in, he took the Eastside. He liked the cold weather but didn't want to deal with the snow and rocky mountains, so he settled in the region with colder weather and fewer mountains.

Once the Captains were settled in their own land, they started preparing it and building it up to make a better living. They started with the current soldiers they had. When the time was right, they brought in their families and created a whole new life on a land they discovered themselves.

Years and centuries later, those Captains turned their titles to Kings. Ruling over their land and their subjects. As time passed, they would give the throne to a noble heir, usually their own kids. It was a way to keep the land under the name of the same family of the first Captains that discovered it.

The land of the North was later named the Whitestone Kingdom. It received its name after its snowy mountains. The North was the coldest region in Aura, and the only region with peaks so high the clouds were sometimes below them. The Whitestone Kingdom might experience all four seasons, but snow will always be found high in the mountains. Since Winter is the heaviest season they experience.

The Whitestone Kingdom is ruled by the North family. Since the Captain's family was named North, he insisted on taking the Northside back in the day. Saying it's in his name to own that part of the land. The Kingdom is now ruled by its King and Queen, with their two children. Thanks to the royal family, the Kingdom is peaceful and flourished, leaving no signs of fights or disturbances. It is the strongest Kingdom in Aura; they can train in the harshest conditions due to their challenging terrain, making them ready for anything.

Even the people in the Kingdom are happy and loyal to the royal family. Since they are well looked after, always getting the best treatment. Even the best support in anything they could need that the Royals can provide. They couldn't ask for better people to rule them and lead them to a peaceful future.

"Dad... Are we done?" said Princess Sophia as she rested her head in her hand, bored.

"You used to enjoy our little history stories. Especially the ones about our great land." replied her father, King Winston.

Both of them were sitting in the library, going over the many history books about the land and each region. "I still enjoy our history, Dad. But I've heard you tell this story since I was a kid! I've practically memorized it." defended the Princess. "No, actually, I have memorized it. I've read all these books at least five times each!" she continued.
