Whenever Felix looked at his daughter and felt that he had aged, Callista was no longer that cold child nor indecisive but a bright young woman whose decisions were firm. She had put the family above all. Felix had gotten a secret report from a spy about Cygent Kingdom. Felix always felt that it was not the king making decisions but the third Prince. He knew the King very well. The King was too weak and lusty. He only cared about whores.

A figure completely dressed in black clothes knelt as he handed him the reports.

"Have Black collect more information about the Cygent kingdom and what they are planning to do. Keep a close watch on the Third Prince and the Princess."

The figure nodded and disappeared into the shadows. Felix sighed and realized they were getting into a big mess they had no idea to deal with.

The second Princess was the only legitimate daughter of the king by his queen and the dowager Queen raised her. For someone like the third Prince, she was an enemy. He knows another reason for this party, drought started in the South of the Empire, Elsher duchy was trying to lessen the damage the deficiency might bring to the Empire but it was not serious. Felix knew very well how this situation might get out of hand but the Emperor was unwilling to listen to him. His daughter did tell him that the South where Elsher's duchy established their trade might suffer, he hopes that the duke made other plans should his daughter's prediction come true. Garica's territory did not suffer because of his daughter's planning. There was a lot of stress on people. As drought started to get severe.

Felix went to the palace where he encountered fighting between the Crown Prince and Emperor. Both of them were fighting about Lady Lillian Gales and the Second Princess. He wanted Lillian as his empress and the Second Princess as his queen but the law of the empire was that only a daughter from Marquess to Duhual family can become an Empress but Ian was stubborn about taking Lillian as Empress. Felix thought that Ian should at least take a comprise of having both women as his queen rather than one being an Empress and the other as a queen. In these years Ian did not change he was the same annoying brat. If Ian were his son he would never allow him to speak like that. He does allow Callista to speak her mind but his daughter is mature and intelligent enough not to cause a war all because she asked an awkward question. Felix waited for a while to allow Ian to take out his grievances. Ian in a way was disobeying his father and the Emperor. Felix wondered when the Emperor would snap at this rude child.

"Marquess Garica." The Emperor after noting Felix's presence.

"Your Majesty. Your Highness." Felix greeted.

The Emperor nodded sternly at his son who huffed and left the throne room. The Emperor looked as if he aged.

"That child is too stubborn," Emperor said. "What about your's is she not stubborn?"

Felix thought 'My Callie is stubborn but not bullheaded as Ian. She knows when to bend and comprise but Ian doesn't. Ian is too unbending. She is five years younger than him. Yet she is more mature than this twenty-three-year-old man. I was even much younger than Ian when I took the title of Marquess and led my people to war. Ian doesn't know how lucky he is that he was born during a time of peace and is the emperor's only child, unlike you, his father who had to fight for his inheritance. He is given everything on a silver platter.'

This was what Felix hated about Ian other than his ridiculous grudge. His willfulness is his best and worst weapon. It is his strength but Ian has turned it into his greatest weakness. He knew that Callista would try to change Ian's behavior but Ian would hate her. Lillian Gales is nothing but an airhead and she will cause problems for Ian.

"Tell me Felix what must We do for Ian to be serious about his marriage to Princess Elena."

"Your Majesty, Prince Ian is very stubborn. He wishes to make Lillian Gales his empress and keep the princess his queen."
