"...been shivering all night." I heard someone say. It was difficult to figure out who was speaking. The person talking was behind a closed door somewhere further down the corridor.
"Do you think its the altitude? I mean, its only logical, right?"
Silence.
"Hey! I'm no doctor! I don't know how the human body works!"
"I guess that's why you failed biology twice? Think about it! She was out in the thing called rain? Pneumonia? Rain? Cold? Shivers? Easy."
"Whatever."
The door to my room opened. I turned onto my side to get a better view of the person. Luhan came over. "Very late rise and shine, princess. Did you enjoy your extremely long sleep in my bed?"
I looked down. "I'm sorry, I didn't realise-"
"Its alright; all I care about is the fact that your feeling better. I hope your up for some lunch, seeing that it's noon."
I nodded and smiled.

After I cleaned myself up, and moved back I to my room, I gave myself a house tour. As I neared the kitchen, I could hear Luhan and Tao arguing.
"It's either Spiky Ty or Big Wok Takeaway! Nothing else!"
"But I don't want Chinese food!" Tao whined. "I want chicken!"
"I decide what is going to happen in this house! Know your place, dongsaeng." Luhan taunted him. Tao fell silent.
I sighed and smiled to myself, wondering if Tao and Luhan would ever get along well. I walked through an archway into a large space, apparently the living room. Large portraits hung in the walls, as well as many black and white photographs of several different people. Perhaps this house was inhabited during World War I and II. Coming to think of it, Luhan never explained how he knew about this house. Was it my father's? An ancestor of mine? I would have to find out!
Pimi was waiting for me at the front door when I opened it. He was definitely glad to seem me, as he jumped up into my arms the moment I opened the door. I smiled; at least someone was happy to see me.
"You must be hungry, huh, staying out there all night in the cold." I cooed to him as he pawed at the fringes of my shirt. "Maybe I can explore the village while I go get some food for you."
I gently put him down and stepped inside, yelling to Luhan that I would be going into town to buy some groceries. Grabbing my bag that I had left by the door, I gently placed Pimil inside it and skipped down the driveway, slamming the door behind me.

The town was quaint and small, and from what I could tell, relatively quiet and crime-free. Young children played in groups along the wide streets, shops lined the avenues and the church bell struck thirteen times.
As I walked down one of the quiet streets, I felt as if someone where following me, but when I turned around, there was no one. I shrugged to myself, and held onto my bag tighter. I passed several small shops, before stumbling upon a bookstore.
Inside, I scanned the many book spines to see if any titles grabbed my attention. As I walked between the rows of shelves, I noticed the large range genres - cookbooks, the classics, historical and science fiction, historical, thick romance novels, series, supernatural.
One particular book stopped me in my tracks.
The Wolf Queen.
Curious, I picked it up, but I felt static when I touched it, causing me to drop it clumsily. I didn't want to risk dropping the book again, and embarrass myself even more, so I hastily walked away from the scene.
