𝑼𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒍 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝑯𝒂𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒆 {𝑿𝒊𝒂𝒐 𝒙 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓}

"Who is this mortal...?" He thought to himself

I left the inn to continue with my duty's but all I could think about was that mortal I couldn't get her out of my head it was annoying yet strange this was the first time I encountered anything like thins happening to me not only that but I still had the taste of the almond tofu in my mouth, the way she made it reminded me exactly of me devouring the dreams of humans but also it comfort me in a way but brings up memories I wish would just go away...but of course no matter how much I wish for this to go away it won't, it's forever stuck with me forever till the time comes.

Xiao heard a noise the noise sounded oddly familiar, it sounded like a ruin guard not just one but multiple of them in the forest, why was their so many ruin guards and why are they travelling in the forest? Xiao didn't think to much of it and went to take them down, just as he was taking them down he heard ruffling in the bushes he was quickly distracted almost long enough to get hit by a missle, he couldn't figure out where and what direction the sound came from it bothered him because he's trying to focus on one thing at a time, he quickly jumped and flashed in front of the ruin guards making all three focus on him, he quickly put his mask on and plunged onto the ruin guards taking them all down at once since that was cleared out the way he took off he mask and started sprinting to investigate what and where the sound came from he heard the noise, he stood there looking in everything direction possible and his eyes slowly shifted to a shadow moving towards the left jumped on top of the trees making himself not visible to whatever this shadow could be and slowly followed it from above not making any noise as he followed he landed on another tree but the branch was weak and broke, he had plunged down to the ground asking the shadow stop and turned to Xiao, he landed on his knees slowly getting up and shifted his gaze to the unknown shadow he gripped on to his spear tightly but when the sunlight hit the forest he saw a mortal, the same mortal that cooked his almond tofu bringing back fond memories that he wish he could forget.

"I'm sorry, did I trouble you?" a voice asked Xiao, Xiao slowly turned away and started walking away quickly saying something to her.

"you shouldn't be here alone, there are many monsters that roam around here" he said coldly, y/n slowly hummed understanding but she wasn't done in the forest just yet she needed to pick some berry's for an order to deliver to someone, she spotted some berry's but there were more ruin guards which confused her normally there would be a few slimes here but not ruin guards something was definitely attracting the ruin guards in this forest but what and where.

Y/n didn't take the chance of taking those berry's she did not want to put her life at risk she slowly walked away but just as she was walking away she stepped on a stick causing the ruin guards to activate when she noticed that they have been activated she quickly sprinted slowly dropping her basket with berry's in them, she didn't care about the berry's right now she only cared about getting out of this forest alive but she tripped over a broken branch that crashed down due to Xiao, she fell as the ruin guards came closer she knew it would be her end just as the missle got shot her directly she closed her eyes shut causing everything to go black but happened to her she felt someone lift her but, no pain and no death she quickly opened her eyes to see somebody has moved her behind a bush to making sure she wasn't a visible target to the ruin guards, she saw that someone was fighting off the ruin guards, she took a quick peek to see who it was it was Xiao he had his sphere held in his hand tightly ready to destroy more of those robots he quickly jumped into the air and plunged in to the ruin guards leaving them destroyed, as he was about to walk away he picked up the basket of berry's y/n left in the ground and went to retrieve the basket to its original owner, y/n was stunned she couldn't believe the power of an adeptus she wanted to make something or give something to the adeptus who saved her life just now she didn't know what he liked so she just decided to stick to the original ad make him another one of her special dish of almond tofu as a token of her appreciation. He gave y/n her basket of fruits and left before she even uttered a word he was gone just like that it certainly wasn't the first time this happened she had had a flashback of when she first in counter xiao delivering his almond tofu, she sighed in lost of thoughts and decided to just continue her hunt of berry's and go back to her business she quickly managed to find a lot of berry's but she decided to take extras so she wouldn't have to come back fora little bit when she finished she returned back to the city of liyue only to see that it seemed like the people were staring to plan or even set up the lantern rite festival that will take place soon at least she thinks it's soon, thinking about the lantern rite festival reminded her of when she went with her mother around last year lantern rite festival will not be the same without her mother.

"If only i could spend lantern rite with you one more time" she said quietly slowly looking up into the sky a tear slowly escape her eyes.
