During Xiao's youth he was first obey by the worst God the god knew he weakness and was forced to cruel acts and violent acts the were not forgivable, he was treated poorly and forced into doing by devouring the dreams of his victimt, not only that he didn't give consent at all, it led him into killing humans, he didn't want to but what Choice did he have, he couldn't disobey the god, soon after he got forgive by the god of morax but led Xiao with a curse, till this day he is cursed and can't forgive himself for the awful things he has done in the past, people are concerned for Xiao knowing that he has been protecting liyue throughout his entire life and still protects his land till this day, people say he should be free from this or at least get a break but Xiao continues.
Ever since Xiao got taken with morax he did meet some people he would call friends, Xiao had Adeptus friends that treated him like family Xiao was the youngest yaska among the others, they would bull pranks and jokes on each other but they still cared for each other like family, the fought alongside in the archon war but soon after it all came crashing down, all the hatred led into their soul making Xiao's friends turned on each other, killing each other and one that left without a trace, Xiao was the only one out of all his Adeptus friends to survive, and yet the one that left without a trace is yet nowhere to be found, things have not been the same he still hears that scream and crys of his friends that still stays in his head till this day.
It is a shame that everyone that teams up with Xiao and fought with him never seemed to make it or come back in one peace.
Because of the incident Xiao doesn't communicate with humans that's not the only reason, because of his past nature with the the old god he feels that people would not like him and forgive him if they knew his past he feels that he can't fit in with the humans, all of liyue knows that Xiao protected their land for over 2000 years yet not a lot of people seen Xiao in person.
Tho xiao likes to go to wanshu inn at Dihua marsh, run by their agents very goldet and Huai'an, to grant a place for xiao to stay and rest before he can go out and continue his duties.
Yet Xiao wishes to free from is karmic debt and be in peace and quite yet he cannot...because of all the screams.
