The journey back to the base practically sucked any possible conjunctions of energy left out of your body due to the adrenaline wearing off. Leaving you with an aching body and heavy feeling eyes. Grumbling as you shuffled behind Soap and Alejandro as they spoke you could feel Ghosts rumbling steps behind you and Gaz,as well as Rudy. Who seemed to be jumpy at Ghosts mere presence. Anyone would really, but that's the thing. You weren't,and you where sure as hell weren't going to be any time soon. All you saw in Ghost was that he was just like the boogeyman. Something that hid in the dark and shadows. And you weren't scared of the dark.
After the processing of Talking to Price and him reporting to Laswell you felt yourself practically drag your now dazed mind to your room and you blindly grabbing sweats and black tank top as well a change of boxers. Kicking off your boots with a groan as you stepped away from the pile of blankets and a mattress ontop of a cot that you called a bed before utterly turning the corner harshly and slamming into someone's chest.. looking up as you scampered as few steps back you where only swiftly looking up to meet a pair of hard blue eyes baring down on your own gaze.
"Your bleeding"
Scoffing you then gave a mumbled apology and went to shove past the hulking figure.
"Your Bleeding."
A bit harsher this time.
"I'll be fine."
And again you went to push past..and again you where denied.
"Ghost I promise you I will be fine now let me fucking past"
He seemed to try and puff himself up more,to appear..intimidating?
Shooting a glare at him as choked out sound of aggravation found its way into your voice as you again when to shove past him, this time budging him a bit..but only to be shoved back harder by him.
"Go to medbay Hound. Now."
"Unlike your mere beliefs of my name leading me to be a fucking lap dog, I am not Ghost. Now let me fucking past or so help me-"
"Or what soldier?"
Letting out a hiss through your teeth you felt your nerves reach their last end with this man as you harshly shoved past him, letting out a hard voice as you spoke.
"Don't fucking try to care when you dont."
And as the bathroom door went to swing shut you swore you heard a whisper from him.. pleading almost,'I do'
Standing there as the hot water steamed and stung your skin was not helping with the strangled feeling you felt as you practically clawed at you skin at the dried blood on your body, groaning at the feeling of the now apparent cut over your eye burning as it was washed out by the water and soap trinkling out if your scalp.
And you found that some of the blood from the gun fight from earlier wasn't coming off...
Causing you to panic and scrub even harder..and harder... and harder.
Before soon you felt like you couldn't breathe as the mere thought of the blood forever staining your hands scared you..
You couldn't breathe..
You let out a strangled noise as you leaned against the wall, the cold wall greeting your back almost greedily as you slammed your eyes shut and forced air into your lungs..
In...
Out..
In...out..
In......
Out.
And with that you immediately turned to water off and got yourself dressed and dried off in silence. No thoughts to yourself..your eye had stopped bleeding..and you weren't taking a trip to med bay at this time of the night. You couldn't shake the feeling, that manic drowning feeling..and so,you took yourself and your wallowing thought to your room and with that you flopped weakily onto your bed and entangled yourself with the blankets..and as you drifted off into drained sleep...you swore you could make out a Ghost mask at your door...
