Pepa's wedding was an absolute disaster. Everyone in the family said it was fine, that she just got too stressed, but it wasn't her fault. It was all Bruno's fault that she got married in a hurricane.
"He saw I was ALLLL STRESSED OUT, RIGHT? AND YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID?" Pepa angrily told her sister.
"What did he do?" Julieta sighed, waving away her cloud as she tended to her cooking.
"He told me that it looked like rain! He probably did one of his visions, cause right as he said it, you know what happened?"
"It started raining?" Julieta asked, knowing the answer anyway but feeding into her rant.
"IT STARTED RAINING! I tell you, Bruno always makes bad things happen!" Pepa told her, slamming her fist on the table next to her. She then immediately noticed her thundercloud above her head and furiously began waving it away.
"Pepa, Bruno probably didn't mean it. You were just really stressed, that's all," she reassured her.
"Maybe you're right," she said, stroking her braid. "But Bruno still caused the hurricane!"
Julieta laughed humorlessly. She knew her sister would never let her newfound grudge against Bruno go.
"Here," Julieta started, handing Pepa an arepa, "To calm your nerves down."
She angrily ate the arepa. Slowly, the thundering cloud above her head brightened and a small rainbow shined out above it. "How do you make these so good?"
"A good cook never reveals her secrets!"
