8 HOURS LATER....7:29PM
"Jeez..." Claudia scoffed as she glanced in the mirror, dressed in a full-length spaghetti strap dress with flower lace, a low bun, and heels. Claudia was also dressed in her previous black jacket. She was in her room preparing for the ball, making a brief appearance to blend in so that no one thought she was just hoarding the drinks. Someone began to knock on her door. "Coming.." She placed her order for wine at the door. It happened every ball night so couples could share a drink. She'd swing open the door. She raised her head.
"Ready?" A man stood boldy, wearing a black Tshirt and jeans, held with a brown belt.
"Where's the wine." She extended her hand.
"Are you sure you don't remember me?" He said crossing his arms, his face showed curiosity.
Shed examines his face more closely. It was the guy from the dining room.
"You? Really?" In response, he'd nod his head.
"How do you not remember me?"
"I'm not sure. I was just preoccupied with eating those waffles." Claudia smiled facetiously as he shook his head, his brow furrowed.
"Are you ready?" Repositioning, he'd say.
"For what."
"God, you don't remember anything do you."
"Nope." Shed lean on the door jam. He'd look up and down at her, noticing her elaborate dress.
"Were you going to the ball?"
"...Yes actually, why?"
"It's just...you don't seem like the type of person who would go to a ball."
"And you don't seem to be the type of person who would follow me to my dorm; how did you get here?" She would make a hand motion.
"I didn't exactly follow you here. You led me here."
Claudia made a shaky motion with her head. " How."
"Look in your pockets."
"My pockets?" She'd scoff and stuff her hands inside her jacket. "Why should I have to-" She'd notice her card was missing. She'd look up at him as he flicked her card between his two fingers, making eye contact with her.
"How did you- how did you get that?" She put her hands out of her pockets quickly, almost dropping a small box that was in it.
"Lesson One. Pay attention to your Target."
"Oh, for God's sake, shut up." She'd try to grab the card, but he'd put his hand back.
"Lesson Two. know the target." He'd joke about it. Claudia sighed and looked at her watch.
"Why did you arrive so late? The ball is going to open soon."
"Because it's the time of year when everyone is at the ball. That concludes lesson three. Don't be a moron." Claudia swatted him on the shoulder with her backhand.
"So...are you all set now?" He'd mutter impatiently. She'd look down at her dress. She would return his stare. "Do you think this would work?"
"It's not all that bad. Come on, let's go to the fencing area." He'd scoff and motion with his hand for her to follow. She'd walk out of her room, side by side, down the long corridor. The hallway was deserted, most likely due to the crowds at the entrance. The hallway way also fairly long. And long hallways always comes for a long talk. On occasions. He'd have his hands in his pockets.
"When did you start stealing, Claudia?" She'd look at him, her brow furrowed.
"How did you come up with my name?"
