Courtney sat on the couch next to Cameron.
The rest of the family looked at her, not sure what to think.

"So, what's your name?" Jake asked.

"Courtney Whitmore" Courtney replied.

"Cool. Mine is Jake" he said.
Courtney nodded, not knowing what to say.
Jen then said something in Norwegian, and Cameron who had just started learning, but apparently knew enough to know what she was saying, responded.
He didn't seem to happy either.

"Is everything okay?" Courtney asked.
Cameron continued glaring at Jen and slowly nodded.
"Yeah, everything's fine" he replied.

"So, what do you do in the JSA?" Linda asked.
Courtney titled her head in confusion, plus shock that she even knew.
"Cindy told me about that as well. She said that my sister's son had gone completely mad years ago and recently died. It's a shame really. Our powers aren't meant for such poor usage. Anyways, what's your power or weapon?" Linda asked. "Oh. Well, the cosmic staff. I think I showed you guys a few minutes ago?" Courtney said. "Oh that's right! So, your called, Stargirl, I think?" Linda replied. Courtney nodded. "Well, now that thats settled, why are you and Cameron together?" Jen asked. Cameron glared at her question. "And I don't want some cheesy romantic reply. I wanna know EXACTLY why your dating your enemy's son" Jen added. Courtney went quiet at that. "I don't agree with my father. I know he just wants to help people, but he does it in a awful, inexcusable way. Me and Courtney agree on it, and while I was hesitant at first after finding out that she lied to me about it, we've figured it out and aren't at odds anymore" Cameron replied. "I asked Courtney. But now I'm even more curious. What lies?" Jen asked. "Must you know everything?" Cameron muttered. "She didn't tell me at first that she was Stargirl and that my dad was a murderer. But I understand why she didn't, and I don't care anymore" Cameron said. "Interesting" Jen said, glaring at Courtney, which Cameron gladly returned the favor. "Children, settle down. I'm sure Courtney and Cameron have their own personal reasons" Linda said. Later that night, Courtney and Cameron laid in their beds, not able to sleep. Courtney and Cameron obviously weren't in the same bed, but theirs were next to each other, but not to close. "That was, interesting" Courtney said. "Yeah. The food change wasn't great but I wasn't expecting Rick to start puking afterwards" Cameron said. "No, I mean the conversation with your family earlier. Jen had been glaring at me all day. It reminds me of your grandmother" Courtney said. "Oh. Yeah, Jen and my grandmother do seem kinda similar. I don't trust her, but maybe she's like Cindy" Cameron replied. "But I don't care what they think about you, I love you either way. Besides, I barely even know them. I knew my dad very well and he turned out to be-," Cameron started. He stopped at that last second. "Cam, I doubt the rest of your family is anything like him. But with Jen, I can't make any guarantees" she said, joking with that last sentence. Cameron started laughing. "I love you" he said. "I love you to" Courtney replied. They then started moving closer to each other to try and kiss, but were interrupted. "My gosh can you two save the romantic stuff for when you're alone??? Jeez I'm trying to SLEEP over here!" Rick groaned from his bed that was right across from them. The two laughed before laying back down. It was gonna be an eventful next few weeks
