Airplanes And Conversations

Courtney and Cameron both packed their bags.
They'd be gone for a whole entire month.

It wasn't what they had in mind, but someone had to go.
Everyone met up at the pit stop at about 12:30pm.
It would be a very long plane ride.
Once they got in, Courtney and Cameron took their seats next to each other as the rest of the JSA sat down.
They packed their suits, and Courtney had Cosmo fly over to where they were staying as to not draw attention to the old looking staff.

Once they arrived, they took a cat Cindy rented over to where they were staying.

"Thank God we are out of that plane. It was so annoying" Rick said as they got to the car.
"Rick, you're driving" Cindy said, throwing him the keys
"Are you serious?" Rick said.
"Well, you guys definitely don't trust me enough to drive. And you're the only one besides me with a license" Cindy argued.
Rick sighed and rolled his eyes.
"I want Beth in the passenger seat then" he said.
"Ooh" Yolanda teased.
"Shut up" Rick mumbled.
Cameron was about to mention that he also had a license, seeing how annoyed Rick was, but he decided to just stay quiet.

Once they arrived, Courtney and Cameron got out first.
"Let me talk to them first before we all go in. I'd rather just make sure everything is gonna work" he said.
Everyone agreed as Cosmo finally arrived.
Courtney caught it and smiled.
"Great to see you again cosmo" she said happily.
Cosmo seemed quite happy as we.
"Alrighty. We'll be back" Cameron said before closing the car door.

Cameron hesitated before knocking on the door.
"Hello?" A old woman called.
"Hello" Cameron replied.
"Are you Cameron?" The woman asked.
"Yup" he said.
"Where'd all your friends go? I thought more of you were coming?" She asked.
"Yeah, I just wanted to make sure you guys were all in here before we had everyone come in. It's kinda a big group" Cameron replied nervously.

Once everyone went inside, the old woman showed them to a big room with multiple air mattresses on the floor.
"Here you go! Sorry that it's not much, this is just all we had" she said.
"It's alright, don't worry" Courtney said.
"Cameron, could you come with me? We can go talk to the rest of the family while your friends settle in" the old woman said.
"Sure" Cameron replied before leaving.
"Welp. Here we go" Rick said, sitting on one of the mattresses.

Cameron sat down on a couch while a group of people walked into the room.
"I'm Linda. Your grandmother Lily's sister" the old woman, Linda said.
"These are some of your cousins, your father's sibling's kids" she said, gesturing to a group of three kids who looked like they were his age.
Two boys and one girl.
"I'm Jen. These are my twin brothers Jake and Jon" the girl said.
"Nice to meet you guys. I'm Cameron" Cameron greeted.
"So, your friend who called us, Cindy, I think her name was, said one of the people coming with you was your girlfriend. Which one of them is it?" Linda asked.
Cameron immediately blushed.
Was Courtney his girlfriend?
They hadn't really discussed that yet. But it seemed like they were in a relationship.
"Well, kinda. I'm not sure" he said.
"What do you mean? It's a yes or no question" Jen said.
Cameron pressed his lips together before texting Courtney.

Cameron: hey Court. My family is asking if we're dating? And I'm super confused at what to say
Courtney: lol I'm confused to. I mean, do YOU think we are?
Cameron: I'm not sure. That kinda depends on you
Courtney: well, I'm definitely okay with it. Are you?
Cameron: totally!
Courtney: okay then! I guess we're dating then lol
Cameron: okay lol

"Yeah" Cameron replied to Jen.
"Okay then! Could you ask her to come in?" Linda asked.
"S-Sure" he said before bringing his phone back out.

Cameron: they are asking if you can come out? I'm not sure why
Courtney: okay!
Cameron: do you know where to go?
Courtney: I think so, yeah
Cameron: okay!

Courtney looked at her phone, still in shock at the conversation she had just had.
"Shocked that there's any connection out here. It's basically the middle of the woods" Rick said.
"Yeah. Quite shocking" Cindy said.
"Where are you going court?" Beth asked.
"Uh, Cameron asked me to go out there, so that's what I'm gonna do. Not sure why though" Courtney said.
"Okay then. Be careful" Rick said.
"Okay" Courtney said before walking towards the living room.
Cosmo ended up following her.
Courtney hesitated as she walked into the room.
"Hey court!" Cameron said.
"Hi" Courtney said nervously, scanning the room.
"What's THAT?" Jen asked, noticing Cosmo.
"Oh! That's Cosmo. Or, the cosmic staff" Courtney replied.
"The cosmic staff? As in the weapon Starman used?" Jake asked.
"Uh, yep!" Courtney said.
"Why don't you sit down?" Linda said, gesturing to the couch.
"Sure!" Courtney said before sitting next to Cameron
