Sudden movements wake me and I open my eyes just to close them quickly. It was bright, it must be morning.

I stretch my arms and open my eyes slowly. My eyes adjust to light and I take in my surroundings. James is sitting up beside me.

I rub my eyes and face with my hands, to help wake myself up.

I yawn.

James looks over to me and I sit up.

"Good morning, Aiden." He says smiling at me.

"Good morning." I say softly.

"Did I wake you?" He asks.

"No no." I say.

I scoot past James and get off the bed, he does the same.

I stretch again, having more room.

"Do you want to go to breakfast?" James asks.

"Yeah, I just gotta change first." I say.

I pull out a shirt and a pair of jeans and toss them on my bed. "What do you think today's challenge is gonna be?"

"I'm not sure, hopefully something we can actually win." I say pulling my shirt off from over my head.

"Yeah, who do you think we're should vote for next?" He asks.

"I don't know, maybe Hunter. He seems like competition." I say. "We can ask the girls what they think."

"Alright."

I finish changing in silence.

"Okay, let's go." I say, as I finish slipping on my shoe.

We walk out of the cabin and towards the cafeteria.

"What will we do if we're the last?" I ask out loud, not necessarily to James.

He looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

My eyes widen. 'I said that out loud-.' I only meant to keep it in my head.

I didn't wanna talk about this now.

"I mean- you know because we both wanna win. But if we both make it to the finals only one can win."

"I know." He says. He stays silent for a while, as if thinking. "I'm not sure."

"I guess we'll just have to find out, hm?" He laughs it off.

I smile weakly and laugh along.

We stopped laughing, the silence was akward.

We make it to the cafeteria and we grab our food. We seemed to have made it after everyone else. Some of the others were already leaving.

We take a seat at an empty table.

We had finished breakfast and we were, at the moment, doing nothing in particular.

It's crazy how fast the day already went by.

We had just been sitting in the cabin. I had been scrolling through my social media, I've been getting a lot more followers I don't even know.

James had been scrolling through TikTok and I believe, posting videos.

Sometimes, I think I would catch him recording me and/or staring in my direction. I didn't say anything.

We sit in our own little silence.

"Attention Campers, the challenge is about to start. Meet at the race track in 15 minutes." Someone says over the very loud intercom.

It took me a moment to tell, Marcus.
