Apologies (James x Aiden)

Takes place after episode 6 in the hot tub.

I try to reframe from staring at James but my eyes kept finding their way over to him and his very... fit- form.

I cringe.

'Why am I like this?'

I sigh.

Someone taps on my shoulder and it's James.

He leans towards me and I blush.

'Huh?'

"Are you alright?" He whispers.

I look at him confused, still red.

"Yeah- why do you ask??" I try not sounding nervous.

Our faces inches away.

Nobody seemed to be watching us, all preoccupied with their own conversations.

He gives me a worried look.

"You're just quite and you keep sighing." James says. "Are you not having fun?"

I smile.

'He's worried about me.'

It was kinda cliche.

"I am. This just isn't really my environment, I guess." I say, fiddling with my shirt.

I'll admit I was having fun but I do like my alone time.

"Alright we can leave." He says.

I look up at him.

"You don't have too, especially if you're having fun!-" I whisper quickly.

He did seem like he was having fun, talking and taking pictures with everyone.

"No no no, it's all good. If you wanna leave, I wanna leave because you're my friend and I wanna hang out with you."

I smile.

'Friend'

Him saying this did make me happy but at the same time I also feel this pit in my stomach.

I did wanna be his friend, right?

I don't know..

I don't want the same thing to happen again.

"Aiden!-" James' whisper yells.

I look at him.

"Sorry! I was lost in thought-."

"It's alright, Aiden." He gives me a smile. "We can leave, I don't mind."

I smile at him.

"Alright, thank you." I say.

We climb out of the hot tub.

This grabs the attention of everyone in the hot tub.

"We're heading back to the cabin now." James says.

"Aw alright." Rosa María says.

Lake gives me a smirk. "Alright, talk to you later Aiden."

I give her a playful eye roll and wave.

"Bye boys." Krystal says smirking.

The rest say their goodbyes.

We start walking back to the cabin.

'Is it weird for the winners to leave early?' I think to myself.

We walk in silence.

I feel bad now. There's no way James' would do that again, right?
