Evelyn cracked an eye open and decided at that moment, she wished someone would make the sun explode. The pulsating headache helped her decide to never get that drunk again. She rose from the bed, grabbing the pain reliever pills she'd readied the night prior. It took all of 20 seconds for her to down the pills and an entire bottle of water.

The bedroom door creaked as she opened it, not too loud but just enough to make Aaron wiggle in his sleep. He was truly beautiful, especially when resting. How lucky she was to have such a handsome yet sweet man.

It was almost routine now for her as she walked to the coffee pot. The brewing took all of one minute, falling down into a puddle of liquid and steam. If she had to only drink one thing for the rest of her life, it would be coffee.

When she stepped out onto the front porch, Evelyn noticed that Kathy's car still wasn't back. She checked her phone to see it was only 10:30 in the morning. Not too bad considering the bender she had last night.

Then that's when it hit her; last night. Evelyn stopped the cup mere centimeters from her lips, staring off as the memories hit. Kissing Eric, grinding on him, putting him in her mouth, him coming. It all came flooding back into her brain.

How could I forget? She asked herself, fear engulfing every ounce. Evelyn couldn't help but ask the generic questions. The why and how and when did she decide to do this.

If she had the ability, she'd take it back. Or would I? Said the tiny little voice in the back of her head. Of course she would... Wouldn't she? Evelyn couldn't answer that right now. Especially when she really didn't know how to respond to it.

She sat down on the porch swing, pushing herself lightly. It was beautiful here with the way that the mountains surrounded the home. Almost like a remote island with no one else around, she could see the appeal.

The screen door creaking caught Evelyn's attention. She looked up to see Eric stepping outside. Her heart thudded at the sight of him. He had on sweatpants and a baggy t-shirt. So simple yet he made it look amazing.

Eric had a cup of coffee in hand, one arm stretched above his head as he bent back. He groaned into the stretch, happy trail peaking through as his shirt rose up. If his pants were just a bit lower, you could see the start of his pubic mound. Evelyn unknowingly wished that they were lower.

He made his way over to Evelyn sitting down on the porch swing. There weren't many choices for seating so it wasn't like he wanted to sit by her. That's what Evelyn told herself at least, trying her best to ignore the other 6 options for seating.

The cologne he sprayed lingered in the air. It smelled like the forest, musky and wooden. Did he spray that for her? Or was it to cover up the smell of last night that might have lingered? Evelyn stopped. She didn't want to go there.

Eric flipped his head at the sounds of a lighter, watching as Evelyn lit a cigarette and took a long drag.

"Mind if I get one?" He asked, pointing to the sticks. Evelyn looked at him confused.

"You smoke?" She asked, offering him one and lighting it for him.

"No," He exhales, smoke barreling out of his mouth. "But seems like as of late, I do a lot of things I normally don't."

They both knew what that meant, but neither one spoke on it. They mulled it over in their heads, Eric looking as if he didn't sleep last night. That is, if the bags under his eyes stood for anything. He looked miserable and Evelyn almost felt bad. Until she realized that he wanted it to happen just as much as she did, if not more.
